I've read all the rules and I am a bit confused.

So, say for example someone asks me to create, say, a Prince of Tennis (as a random example) icon per their request. Would I not be able to do this unless I personally mail Konomi Takeshi (the creator of Prince of Tennis) and hope that he mails me back with a written permission? Or would I be able to just put (c)Prince of Tennis belongs to Konomi Takeshi and the such?

This is assuming I am not at all JUST copying and pasting his orignial images, but actually spending time to 'spice' it up and add effects and shiny whatnots to it.

Not sure if this will even be answered, but, thank you if you can clear the confusion. biggrin
