I strongly disagree the R&C should stay in the minishops. A compromise would be to have them double linked as subforums of both sections. I forget which subforum it was but there used to be afew subs that were in two places at once and i wonder if that's a potential solution? |

I haven't read through all of the pages, so I don't know if this has been suggested. (edit: lol, right above me. haha)
... How about just adding links to the R&C/Freebies forums in the subforum section of the AD? Much like Art Contests is linked to in both Picture Post and Mini Shops. People posting about wanting to buy/sell art or to make/receive freebies in the AD is a big problem. I would bet at least a dozen reported threads a day if not more. A staff member posted in Site Feedback over the summer that the shadowing of forums is not possible, so I guess the code has been changed since then that has eliminated that option. I wouldn't mind seeing the shops given their own section on the main index page, instead of being buried in Gaia Gaming. What do services and art shops have to do with the games on Gaia anyways? The misplaced thread problem with art shops and picture requests really makes it incredibly difficult to even use the AD these days. When someone decides they want a picture of their avatar, they tend to make a beeline to the art section instead of the shops section. It's the first association their brain makes and happens to be in plain sight on the main index (whereas the Requests forum is hidden in subforums), and so that's where they make their thread. Based on what I've read, the Minishops has it's own share of misplaced thread issues. I think it might be beneficial to both sections if the shops were brought up the main index of the forums. Then a user would immediately be given choices for their topic before they even have access to a "New Thread" button, forcing them to consider which section to click on before they blunder willy nilly into the wrong area with their misplaced thread. |

Can't the minishops be turned into it's own catagory and all the current subforums can be turned into main forums. It's not like most of the subforums don't have (even more suby) subforums of their own. So instead of being in gaia gaming we have a section called Minishops and then everything is broken up within that area. They would have to add an area for all the stuff that currently falls into the main minishops but it might be a good solution. : ) |

The Forum Fairy it's great , There have been some suggestions inSite Feedback that R&C should be moved to the Art Discussion or Mini Shops as a whole moved to the Artist Corner section on the main page. How do you feel about this? Does it make sense to move some or all of the mini-shops?
