Hello everyone!

I'm Emmeline and welcome to my shop!
I suggest you read on for all the information you could possibly need.
However, if you still have remaining questions after reading everything,
feel free to ask

This shop used to sell Toiligotchis, they were little pixel pets that were inspired by
tamagotchis and rolls of toilet paper (the shop name is still a reference to that).
I've had some great years designing, creating and selling Toiligotchis,
but I felt like it was time to retire the concept.
Still, to commemorate almost 10 years of Toiligotchis, you can check out
the Hall of Fame below for some examples, stats and other info.

At the moment, I'm only selling pixel dolls on my own base!
These can be based off Gaia avatars or OC's, so if you are interested, do scroll down!

SPECIAL NOTES:

- 12.05.2019: I'm taking a hiatus from Gaia, until further notice.
I've started a new job in January and it's a really busy job, which often requires me to also
put some work in in weekends.
Combine that with personal projects, Deviantart commissions and real life plans,
I don't get as much time for Gaia pixels as I would like.
I'm going to take a break of a couple of weeks/months (?), we'll see afterwards.
This is definitely not goodbye for good c: Feel free to leave me a message if you are
REALLY eager to get a doll from me, I might end up taking the order after all!

Q: I came here hoping to order a Toiligotchi, but I can't find an order form.
A: This shop has stopped selling Toiligotchis in January 2017, we only sell pixel dolls now.
It is no longer possible to get your own Toiligotchi, but you can check out some info
and past examples in the Hall of Fame.

Q:Can we affiliate or exchange links/banners?
A: I no longer have an affiliates post because it's hard to keep the banners up to date
and keep track of which shops are still active and which have closed down.

Q: Whenever I stop by, slots seem to be full! How can I get a doll?
A: I usually open for a limited number of slots only (4 or 5), and they sometimes fill up rather quickly.
At the rate of 1 doll a week, this means new slots only open once a month.
You can ask me to quote you next time slots open, so you have a better shot at getting one.
(though still no guarantee, as I work by the first come, first serve principle)

Q: Why is my order taking so long?
A: I put a lot of work in these and I have a busy real life too.
I usually only work on orders during the weekend and I try to post small progress reports
or weekly schedules about which order I'm working on in the thread!

Q: Do you do art trades?;
A: I usually don't, unless I really really like your art. Open to suggestions

ABOUT EMMELINE:
Hi!

My name is Emmeline but you can call me Emme,
and I'm turning 26 years old on the 28th of July.
I'm from Belgium and I am working on getting my PhD in linguistics.
I recently moved in with my boyfriend, we've been together for 9 years.
I like hanging out with friends, listening to music, cats,
cute stuff and making pixel art mostly.

I joined Gaia in 2006 but lost interest in 2008.
I returned in 2012 because I kind of missed it and wanted to check out what changed.
Decided to reopen my shop and here we are, 5 years later.

ABOUT THE SHOP:
The first version of this shop was founded in 2007 and sold Toiligotchis.
Toiligotchi's are virtual pets. They are basically like Tamagotchi's,
but the case is shaped like a roll of toiletpaper and the pet is a jelly blob (the ToiToi).
However, the last years of high school and first years of university were so busy that
I had to quit Gaia and ended up not having any time to do any art for almost 4 years.

When I returned to Gaia in 2012, I found out some people still remembered my gotchis
and were actually interested in purchasing some more.
I gradually picked up pixel art again and opened a new version of the shop!
I also started selling full customs which featured other creatures besides the blob,
and made many limiteds and premades over the years.
After a while, I wanted to develop my pixel skills further and started
offering custom pixel dolls as well!

In January 2017, I retired the Toiligotchi concept.
Interest had been dwindling for a while, and I found it increasingly hard to
come up with new ideas for premades, limiteds.
We've had a good run though! As of now, we are only offering pixel dolls.

A GUIDE TO ORDERING

Step 1: You post your order and wait till I've accepted your order

Step 2: You send trade

I prefer to do Gaian Avi's and original characters, no existing game/movie characters.
I also don't do extreme gore/mecha/heavy armor or backgrounds.

You can see the bases for the dolls here.
There are 3 female and 1 male pose, but you can request female arm poses
for the male as well, of course.

Welcome to the Toiligotchi Hall of Fame!
If you're a new visitor of my shop, you may be wondering why this is here,
so do read on if you're interested.

THE TOILIGOTCHI CHRONICLES:
The first version of this shop started out around Easter 2007 selling Toiligotchis,
which were virtual pixel pets inspired by tamagotchis and rolls of toilet paper.
The Toiligotchis quickly found their way into the hearts (and signatures) of
many Gaians and my shop gained some popularity in the Mini Shop realm.

I took a break from Gaia from 2008-2012 but I could never quite forget the Toiligotchis
and when I came back in 2012, I found many users still remembering "the good old days".
I reopened a second version of my shop (the thread we are in now), selling Toiligotchis once again,
and a couple months later I also started selling pixel dolls - the ones I still sell today.

The year was 2016 when I came to the realization that my pixel dolls had become
my main expertise, only getting in about 1 custom Toiligotchi order every 2 months or so.
And to be honest, I didn't quite enjoy doing these orders as much as I used to.
The Holiday Limiteds were still attracting some customers, but were not as hugely popular
as they used to be. And it became increasingly hard coming up with new fun LTDs each holiday ...
So I took a decision: the year 2017 would mark the end of the Toiligotchis,
I would auction off one more full custom and the Christmas 2016 LTD would be the last one ever.

So here we are today. I am still active on Gaia, I am still selling pixels,
but the Toiligotchis are gone. Gone, but not forgotten.

HALL OF FAME
Just some examples of Toiligotchis I have really enjoyed making and am very proud of.

FACTS AND FIGURES:
◘ Over 250 (semi and full) custom Toiligotchis sold since 2012.
◘ Many Gaians owned more than one Toiligotchi. Special mention goes to
Susomi and Lacey Cupcake, who both owned over 15 Toiligotchis.
◘ Two thematic auctions, featuring Eeveelutions and My Little Pony were held.
◘ A total of 23 Holiday Limiteds and 12 thematic Premades were up for sale from 2012-2016.
◘ The very first Limited was the Graduation 2012 LTD, with 43 LTDs sold.
The very last Limited was the Christmas 2016 Limited with 63 LTDs sold.
◘ The best selling Limited was the Christmas 2014 Limited with 143 LTDs sold.

I do no longer have a list of everyone, but thank you all so much for continuing to support me
