What is this shop?
Here in Dolls in Blue, I'll be selling customized Pixel Dolls; I will be offering the option of ordering Original Characters or Avatars; I will not be doing any fanart or other 'inspired' work unless permission is given from the original artist.

What are Pixel Dolls?
Pixel Dolls are Pixel Art characters created on premade bases. Most of the bases I use were created by other people; I edit them [skin tones, faces, frequently poses or limb edits], add clothing and hair and other accessories. By the time I'm finished, the base has been transformed into a completed work of art.

What is Pixel Art?
Pixel Art is artwork that has been created one pixel at a time, without the use of any blur tools, brushes, textures, or other program-based tools. Pixel Art is completely created by the artist, and retains that vaguely 'pixelated' look. If you'd like more information, this wikipedia entry gives a more lengthy explanation.

How to Order
After reading over the entire first page, all of the important information that I have taken so much time to write up, fill out the following form and send a trade for the proper amount to and be blue. If I offer a trade in return, that means that I have accepted your order; from there, we'll chat in PMs, clarify the order and details, I'll share finished lineart, complete the doll, and then confirm trade. Once you've confirmed on your end, I'll send the completed piece via PM!

Open Slots
I will have a list of 'open slots', in the next post. This will tell how many orders I am still willing to take, at a certain set price, on a certain base. However, I will still be open to other more expensive commissions. See the Bribery post below. (;

Pricing
Pricing will vary from doll to doll; in the next post, I will provide some examples with potential pricing. Just keep in mind that while Pixel Art is frequently underestimated, it is extremely time consuming; a small doll can take me as long as two or three hours to complete, a medium one five or six, and a large doll can take me upward of ten hours total work.

Bribery
I'll be posting some expensive things from my wish list, in one of the following posts. If you send me any of these items [unwrapped, so I know for sure what I'm getting!] I will instantly bump you to the top of the post, and come up with something great to make in return. (: The bigger the bribe, the larger/more interesting the doll will be!

Price Increases

There are some things that will increase the price of your order, or that I will completely refuse to do.

1. Cluttered Avs
   If you have a cluttered avatar, depending on how bad it is, I may ask for more, refuse your order, or leave things out.
   
2. Fan art
   I will refuse most fanart, unless it's something really awesome, geeky, and obscure. Aka: no anime, but maybe something like Terry Pratchett, Xena, etc.
   
3. Backgrounds
   They're hard, and I'll ask for more.
   
4. Wings/elaborate props
   Also difficult.

Keep in mind, however, that I will discuss any of these things with you individually first. (: Communication is key!
