Once upon a time, there was a girl who went by the name of feralchicken on Gaia. And in her time on Gaia, she created a thread in the Minishops forum that was seen as a really great thing, something that could help the community alot. This thread was eventually made into a sticky in the forum, and it helped alot of people.

This was the Mini Shops List.

But something happened. The thread was slowly becoming inaccurate. Old URLs were in place, some of which no longer worked, shops that had long gone out of business were still listed, and new shops weren't being added.

A handful of Gaians hated to see such a great idea fall by the wayside, so they set out to do something about it.

And thus you have the new, revamped Mini Shops List!

Remember, this is by no means a comprehensive list of Mini Shops. We'll only be adding shops as they are requested: if you don't ask us to list your shop here, then your shop won't be listed here.

Also remember that just because a shop is listed here doesn't mean it's in this forum. We're listing shops that are in the subforums as well. Remember that when you are making your new shop, to check the Where should I put my Mini Shop guide to make sure you get your shop in the right place! It only benefits your business when you put your shop in the right place, and it could be detrimental to business if you put it in the wrong one!


Currently, this list is being maintained by three people. You can tell who is using the mule based on their font color.

"October 18, 2007"
Changes to thread layout.
    • I've fixed the silly formatting errors. Should be no problems, now.

"October 17, 2007"
Changes to submission rules.
    • Shops NOT older than one month will NOT be added.
    • Users that do not use the EXACT form will not be
    added. (Do not change the Colons to Hyphens or Equal signs or
    exempt the Colons. Text formatting is okay.)
    • Users that do not have the "www." will not be added.
    • Users that do not use the CORRECT Category and Sub-
    Category will not be added.
    • Those doing updates are busy with other things, as
    well, and therefore do not have the time to correct all of your
    mistakes.

"September 28, 2007"
Updates.
    • Any shops that have not been posted in in over a month and
    do not have "Hiatus" announcements will be taken off the list
    if noticed.

    • ANY current "formatting" errors are not our fault. The
    new forum system has messed up the thread to some
    extent.

    • URLS HAVE BEEN COLLECTED.
    PLEASE NOTE IT MAY TAKE A WHILE FOR IT TO BE
    UPDATED BECAUSE I AM GOING TO CHANGE THE
    URLS TO REFLECT THE NEW URL SYSTEM.

    Shops in this category sell drawn art of your avatar or original character. Shops only selling this type of art belong in the Requests and Commissions forum

Avatar Edit Shops
    Shops in this category sell edits of Gaia avatars: generally they make your avatar wear different items, or perhaps they do fan art made with Gaia's avatars as bases. Shops that sell only this kind of art belong in the Mini Shops Main forum.

Doll Shops
    Shops in this category sell dolls of all sorts: from pixel dolls to chibi plushies. Shops selling only this sort of art belong in the Mini Shops Main forum.

Pet Shops
    Shops in this category sell pets that you can display in your signature, on your profile, on a webpage, or can even be a means to roleplay on Gaia. Shops that only sell pets that change or breed belong in the Breedable/Changing Pets forum. All other pet shops belong in the Mini Shops Main forum.

    Shops in this category sell food and other random items.

Personalized Graphics Shops
    Shops in this section sell graphics that are customized to your specifications: be it just adding your name to something pre-made, or making the graphic completely from scratch. Shops that only sell graphics of this nature belong in the Personalized Graphics forum.
