Random question, then I'll contribute: Please, tell me you know of a place where I can get Morbid Jester's music?
They used to have a main band page where you could get tons of songs. I didn't know that was down. I sadly only have Gates To Valhalla, as that was the only one I remembered to snag when I got home from school like a year ago. I can look around to try and find their stuff, not sure how effective I'll be.

Edit: http://www.metalboerse.de/MORBID~JESTER.htm
German site looks like you can get Gates To Valhalla there.

Can also be found here.

Anyone know any good symphonic metal bands and/or bands with female vocals? I like bands like Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation, Elis, and Flowing Tears, so anything like those that you would reccomend?

Try After Forever, Tristania, Xandria, or Sirenia (stay away from their latest album, though.)

Stream Of Passion. If you haven't heard of them.
I've been rec-ing em for awhile.

edit: And Echoes Of Eternity. I think they're fairly new, but they're more operatic vocals.

I just got their new album. Very nice. 3nodding I'm now hoping that they won't turn to crap like many other bands.

I have returned to the lands of my people, seeing that the Metal forum is a piece of pretentious s**t full of fake intellectuals and so on. So in short, later.

Anyone who takes Type O Negative seriously is officially a retard.

I agree.
I was kind of disappointed with the new Lacuna Coil album.
If that even counts as female-fronted metal anymore.

Okay...

How about some Heavy/Power, Speed, plain Heavy or plain Power?
I currently enjoy Kamelot, Hibria, Slough Feg, Nightwish, Dark Moor, Virgin Steele and Manowar.

In terms of straight-out 'normal' metal I like WASP, Grim Reaper, Motorhead, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and some Angel Witch.

Heavy:
Cirith Ungol (Paradise Lost, King of the Dead)
Tierra Santa (Medieval, Legendario, Indomable, Tierras de Leyenda)
Rata Blanca (Magos Espadas y Rosas, Guerrero del Arco Iris)
Sphinx (Mar de Dioses)

Power:
At Vance (Dragonchaser, Heart of Steel)
Galloglass (Legends from Now and Evermore)
Lost Horizon
Sabaton (Attero Dominatus)
Primal Fear (Primal Fear, Nuclear Sun)

Primal Fear fit the Heavy/Power you're looking for quite well.

Speed Metal, go for Abattoir's Vicious Attack and Animetal's Animetal Marathon I.

Thank you very much, you always give the best recommendations.
I've got most of those power metal bands. I'll check out At Vance's older stuff (I got VII - a bit too generic), but I'll check out the others for sure.

I wants power metal. Like, really really epic and cheesy Euro power metal, but that isn't totally gay, like Skylark.

And no female vocals.

This will be fun

Heard them, and don't like them.

I'm looking for basically Rhapsody-like bands, that aren't totally effeminate.

Yes, this request is totally contradictory.

how could anyone fall for a drunk like me?
