Kazaum Othala I'm not bullshitting a genre. Google it, look it up on wikipedia. Metal-archives [though I know it's not too reliable of a source] has over 300 bands listed as Pagan Metal. I'm not saying it isn't a genre, i'm just saying we're not taking it, you said it's a sub of black so that's what it will be. Don't bother adding on genres if we don't have them. There's not point making something more techinal then it is. I wasn't trying to be difficult. Just figured it would be accepted since the last time this was up, I listed three bands as being Pagan Metal and there was only a minor discussion about it before they were accepted. I'll remove the Pagan Metal label on the two bands, though it will be very difficult for Nydvind. |

Perhaps to keep things simple, you should pick a genre 'source', like metal archives, and say that you'll be limiting subgenre classifications to subgenres used on the site?

Hmm..I guess the only way I could really see it as needing to be on its own, is defining it as leaning closer to Black or Folk Metal. As that seems to be the case with a lot of bands I've seen [ie. Nordisches Blut -> Pagan Black Metal]. *shrugs* My brain is fried. |
