Uhm. Its not a title. Lamb of God is metalcore, a FUSION (automatically not pure right there) of hardcore and metal and luckily for them, they're a little more metal than hardcore, so it's ok to post them in the metal forum.
"Pure American metal" is just that. American metal that doesn't cross genre. So a band like Overkill would be more pure American metal than LoG. Not to mention a ******** better in quality, anyway.

I do have to agree, at the gigantour, Overkill did put on a better show than Lamb of God, plus Overkill got the crowd more involved with their song "******** You" (if you don't know how it goes, basically it revolves around the line "WE DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY" to which the crowd shouts "******** YOU!" wink , the only thing that lamb of god did good at the gigantour was the size of the mosh pit. It just made me go eek , it just kept growing and growing.
