There was a " Lordi sucks " chant at my Ozzfest this year when they were on. They are horrid and suck greatly.

Bottling the only half-decent band offering something different at Ozzfest, eh?

Lordi is up there with King Diamond on my list of favorite bands. I absolutely love thier heavy hard rock sound, and monster theme. There's not a single song of thiers that I don't like.

How true do you really think that is? They have a similar sound, they use similar font for the bands name on the album covers, and they have similar costumes. I mean really, GWAR has been around for how long? Who hasn't heard of them?

Now, I am not saying I dislike Lordi, I do enjoy them. They have some pretty catchy songs. But I do not believe that they have never heard of GWAR.

Gwar = a bunch of wankers in crappy costumes hitting random notes who just try to gross people out with thier lyrics. A lame psuedo metal punk hybrid made by college kids for the lulz.

Lordi = a band who idolized Alice Cooper, Kiss, and Twisted Sister and wanted to bring back the 80s metal/hard rock sound with thier own monster spin on it. They have catchy, talented songs with cool lyrics and badass looking costumes.

GWAR is just jealous that Lordi actually has talent and that Sharon didn't invite them to Ozzfest. Also, the reason they got booed in alot of places is because most of the crowd probably only listens to lame nu metal, lame metalcore, and death metal [which I don't have anything against] bands. Regardless of thier mixed reception, they still introduced alot of people to thier sound. It was a smart choice on thier part to come, even though the metal scene in America for the most part is piss poor. There are still some people who can appreciate talent.

they're suppose to be entertaining. some of my bf's friends were freaking out about them. But musically, I really don't think highly of Lordi. I agree, their outfits etc very much resemble Gwar. And I'm not fond of their music either.

It's true, front of stage at Ozzfest, some of the crowd were shouting "Lordi sux"
