With guitars smoother than gravy on a wedding cake (what do you expect, with Antti of Demilich fame featuring?), and an amazing female vocalist, Jess and the Ancient Ones gives flowing, melodically interesting music of a psychy proto-metal style. Great.

Thank you deathmetal.org, for showing me great bands, and allowing me not to wade through putrid political dogma to do so!

Jex Thoth is great when you just want to mellow out.
Yes, this band is a bit more interesting in terms of musical ideas, but when you just want to chill the ******** out, the sounds of Jex Thoth summon a river to wash you away and carry you into bliss.
