Greetings.

I was thinking: Are there any good instrumentalists within the black metal genre?
and by that i wish that you mention any musical piece that proves it.

For all i've heard (which is not much) black metal is noise.
But, i am willing to give it a chance IF i find a band that shows virtuosism in its compositions.

keep it cool; we don't need any fanboys trolling around, advocating for their beloved genre.

sorry if i sound like a bit of an elitist. sweatdrop

You don't get black metal if you want it to showcase instrumental talent. Black metal is about emotion, atmosphere, and compositional ability not technical ability.

i'm actually curious about the skill of black metal artists outside of song writing and composition making too, as in more instrumental proficiency

If you want instrumental talent look elsewhere.

clearly
comparing Necrophagist to Burzum will prove this

Ash Pool occasionally has some kinda technical sounding riffs... /drool if you can find it, download "World Turns on Its Hinge". It's very riff oriented Black Metal with a lyrical focus that's more similar to something you'd find in Death Metal. The vocals have been compared to early Burzum and Akitsa.

I think they sound most like Akitsa... but with more than one riff per song and mostly at least twice as interesting.

Listen to XIAN.

aside from tremoloing for five minutes taking some time to get used to, it's not all that hard...

however compositionally i believe there are some brilliant people in black metal

There is no 'metal brotherhood'. It's just a sham to get kids to buy Pantera memorabilia.
Too thrash for you!
