well, having both grandfathers being in WWII i feel that this holiday is a very sobering reminder on how easy it is to forget about the simple things such as freedom and other things that some countries dont have!

For example, in Saudi Arabia women cant show their face in public and cant go out in public AT ALL without being escorted by a man!

there are other things that also can do here in the great USA that we cant do in other countries!

So that being said, think really hard and list one or two freedoms that you truly enjoy that you usually dont think twice about?

My two would be...

Playing video games and being able to speak my mind without fear of being arrested for simple statements.

well, thats good, but think about all our other freedoms that we have. this is the best country in the world to live in even though our economy is in the s**t hole. the USA has always pulled through no matter what challenge! so we can recover from the bad economy and we have a proud county. with probably more freedoms than almost anywhere else in this world!

this is true, you pretty much HAVE to go day by day these days. and its true, our country is struggling right now there is no denying that. but i know that we can pull through. and that IS being realistic! 4laugh

As a woman, two freedoms I appreciate are the ability to own & control money and property by myself, and the ability to hire my own attorney as needed.

As a veteran, I have worked to keep our country strong and to protect many freedoms.
