Hello everyone, Gaia Online now has a new look and feel. To make sure that all the new graphics are loaded properly, please exit your web browser and login again.

This new look is aimed to provide everyone with more features and a more functional layout. Some graphics are still being enhanced and there will be more changes made for better navigation.

well I’ve decided to write another guest article. mrgreen
this one's going to be about the new layout and the responses to it.


As I'm sure you've all noticed, there has been a change in the Gaian scenery recently. While most people enjoy most of the new layout, there are those that feel they need to complain. Maybe it's the fact that you don't like the new colour scheme. Maybe it's the fact that you're not liking the loading times. Maybe it doesn't fit your computer's resolution.

That's not to say that you're not entitled to your own opinion, nor does that mean you’re not entitled to express your opinion. Far from it! With the new poll in place, the admin are showing us that they do in fact value our opinion, and want our input. I don't believe the input they wanted was "OMG I hate it CHANGE IT BACK!!!111oneoneoneeleven". If it's a conflict of taste it can't be helped, but if there's suggestions I’m sure the admin will gladly read them and take them into consideration at this link: [http://vanessa.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2680001&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0] I’m not claiming that the new layout is perfect. What I’m trying to convey is that the admin worked hard on it, and deserve better than some of the comments that are being made by a small percentage of the Gaian population.

More than anything else, the one thing to keep in mind is that this site was free, is free, and will remain free. The admin are working their bottoms off bringing us new features regularly. It may be hard to believe, but they may actually have lives outside of Gaia. So before you get on your high horse and complain how it resembles some other site (which it doesn't) maybe you should reevaluate the usefulness of your comments.

Interviewing our Mods- the ten questions you've always wanted to ask (Part 2 of a series)

As I promised, I am back with more fun facts, opinions and preferences from our Mods, getting to know them better 10 questions at a time. In the first interview, we had an up-close and personal chat with Arwen, Mizuiro and Dri, for this one we spent some quality time with the guys. Thanks a lot Aerion, Remme and Xiahou Dun for being such good sports! heart

1. How long have you been in a Mod?
Remme: Errmm... Since about.. September? I took a little break around January though, and I just came back a few weeks ago.

Aerion: I got my invite on November 8th, and was on active mod duty about 2 days later. :3

Xiahou Dun: I offically became a mod on March 17th.



2. What are the best and the worst things of this duty?
Remme: The best thing is helping out, I love Gaia and it's awesome that I can help it in this way.
Worst thing... Being taken for granted, a lot of people don't realise how much the mods do for Gaia.

Aerion: Well, there are a lot of ups and downs to this job. The best probably being able to keep Gaia a cleaner, more hospitable place, and to be able to help people when they need it instead of just sitting by and watching.
The worst thing is definately the idiots. Oh god, the idiots. I dispise it when people feel the need to argue with me about very little things (like resizing their sig, or moving their thread). Then there's also the whole anti-mod fad. I dont see why people can hate someone that they've never met, but they are against them because they have 'power'.

Xiahou Dun: The worst thing about modding is all the misconceptions people have. It is believed that doing this is easy. Each thing that is reported is carefully looked at, sometimes taking several hours or maybe even days to fully gather all the facts.


3. If you had the power to change one thing in Gaia forever, what would it be?
Remme: I'd give myself a Halo.

Aerion: This is a real tough one.. ^^;
As we already talked the admins into taking the Personals down, I guess I would have to say that I would have the 'karma' system fully enabled, and somehow (though it'd be impossible) penalise the assholes, and reward the kind people.

Xiahou Dun: I would change the mentality of some people. A lot of Gaians have become so greedy that it is scaring away people. If you look at a large portion of the people who have left GAIA recently, they are all tied to the Exchange in one way or another it seems.


4. If the admins granted you to choose one item to be available in the next update, what would you choose?

Remme: A parrot on the shoulder.

Aerion: Honestly, I cant think of a specific item I would want... I just want to be able to wear my DJ headphones with hats and headbands. ^^;

Xiahou Dun: Wow... um... I have no clue really. Maybe more facial hair options. The three available isn't enough in my opinion.

Remme: Go naked.

Aerion: Strip down to my skivvies and do the Domo-kun cherub mating dance. It her good graces... but dont tell anyone. >.> <.< >.>

Whining to the thread creator that they are spamming is worthless. There are more than 10,000 users for each mod. We cann't be everywhere at once.

For better performance, and in order to keep a consistant URL for all the forum pages around the site, we've installed a load balancer yesterday and we're in the process of testing it throughout this week.

All forum pages will be directed to "cluster.gaiaonline.com" and will remain that way until the load balancer is determined to be bug free. We will then switch that name over to "www.gaiaonline.com".

So please don't update your bookmarks yet, and after tomorrow you can change your bookmarks or links to "www.gaiaonline.com" for accessing all the forum pages. whee

After some fixes, the load balancer is in place. Hopefully it'll perform without errors tomorrow, and from then on we'll have www.gaiaonline.com as the URL for pointing to threads and so forth, no more dealing with all the server names, and no more errors when one of the web servers go down.

Sorry about the error with sending private messages. It was something related to the friends list feature. After more testing and bug fixing it'll be released to the public. 3nodding

- People Leaving Gaia. Whats to blame?

Recently i've noticed that many people, mostly with *alot* in their name have been deciding to leave Gaia. And why? Maybe they lost an item. maybe it was too much lagg thay could handel. Or maybe it was the damn greed that everyone had insted of friendship like we did in the old days. I remember the first few months of Gaia it was DeathShadow, Arwen, sdelven, Foolmonsta, garoad, Angsty Shem...A whole crew of people... and we all earned out gold the old fashiond way. Posting. Talking to people. But now this whole.. Gaian Exchange has come into play and I see less talking, more greed... more people leaving. The GE is moving very fast and prices keep fluxating. People are constantly useing their gold for things that they can almost never reach and when they do they hate themselves because they gave up everything for one thing. Sure, Lanzer and CO wants gaia to be..BIG... a BIG community. Thats why the Exchnage was created but now there is the Market Place. Same as the GE, only not as...I dont know? Fast Moveing? The Marketplace {TM} is exactly like the GE, only there are less topics about the items they are selling. So why dont they just GET RID of the GE? I dont believe there is a true answer to this but my beliefe is that people might have a problem with haveing to spend 1K on a vending pass. 1k? Some still have a hard time makeing that and others are juty like "1K? I can make that in 5.". So maybe thats a reason.

Point Blank. if you want to talk, go to Commernce or the Chatterbox. Most of the GE Auctions ans Selloffs are just for when People are leaving and want to give items away or auctions that turn into big topics where everyone starts to talk. Want to make a deal? Do it in the MARKET PLACE. Its the same as the GE.

Oh okay. I was hacked not long ago and those who know me..well, they know what I almost lost and let me tell you it wasnt pretty. But eventhough I lost all of that, I wouldnt have left. i would have stayed because I have an obligation the the friends I have made and the thread I am the overlord of.

but I see people..LEAVING because they lost..some 100-700K items or theire haveing troubles with their online woman/man or something theyre questing for just skyrocketed in price.

THis is the..stupidest reason to leave Gaia. SO STUPID. Its like what you have acomplished on Gaia means NOTHING to you. Is that true? Then dont leave over a bad day. Stick it out and be strong. Dont become weak and leave all you have over a few lost pixel items. Not worth it.

And sure, gaia isint much fun anymore because of all the greedy Gaians but make it fun for yourself. I have FFW. What do you have?

This is a reminder to all users of Gaia Online that Administrators, Moderators, and Dedicated Moderators would never ask for your password. We do not send Private Messages or E-mail asking for account related questions such as your passwords.

The Gaia Online e-mail ends with the following: @anihq.com

Please remember at Gaia Online, we try our best to protect your account, but the best protection can only start with a strong password. Please consider the following when choosing your password:

- Never use a "simple password" like your birthday, your dog's name, etc.
- Use both number and letters in any combination
- The longer the password, the better
- Change your password often
- Avoid using your password at Gaia Online on any other webpage
- Do no share your password with anyone, that includes friends or families
- Do not share accounts

If you have recieved an e-mail or a private message from a user asking for your password, impersonating a Gaia Online Staff, giving you gold/rare item in exchange for your password. Please forward the message to a Moderator as soon as possible. And just ignore the PM or email from the person.

For example: A user posts or PMs you asking if I can see those Angelic Minis for a second so I can take a screenshot or something along the line like; Can I borrow those for a moment!? I will give you my password so I wouldn't run away with them.

That will result in an item scam and you end up losing your item. So please don't loan items to users you just met in 2 days or 2 months. Once your item is loaned its gone. Gaia Online is not responsible for loss or stolen items. Please protect your items and gold!

Don't loan anything to anyone at all.
If a user refuses to stop bothering you about the item or you just want to report it to a Moderator. You are free to do so annonymously ^_^

Sure, I cant say I am a newbie but I am able to discuss it because I was able to experience it.

Recently, many people have been joinng Gaia with absolutley NO clue on what to do hence, they post something somewhere, perhaps wrong place and insted of being helped, redirected, such and such they get flamed from hell and back. Ive witnessed this on many accounts and lets just say I am tired of it.

Gaia is a tight nit community, a loving and fun community where people come to enjoy themselves, make friends, RP, all of that. And when they first join, not understanding, insted of geting a "Hello! Welcome" they get a "OMFGWTFLOL N00b!".

Ive been studying this.

Very closely. And I have come up with the fact that 8/10 people who talk to a n00b, redirecting them, actually are only flameing them. Thats right. 8/ every 10 Gaians who respond to a n00bs post/Q&F/ect are FLAMEING. And if not, being downright MEAN and CRUEL.

I have witnessed this earlier with a young girl who was trying to sell a giftbox somewhere and people called her stupid and much more things that I will not go deeper into. It was...Uncalled for. And I am ashamed to even acknowlage that I am surrounded by crule, greedy, uncaring, mean people in Gaia. It sickens me so. Bust as my duty I have to stick by the newbies and help them out. As a memmber, you are expected to follow to rules and do the same.

Remember, you were once new.

Gaia now has 7 slave databse servers running, that should put a stop to message lag until we finish implementing our new database backend. Got a bit of a cold when I fell asleep on the chair (yet again). Then the next day I scraped my wrist when I did a stupid jump. Now I think AND type half as fast as usual. sweatdrop On the brighter note our test database server is almost done and work on the new avatar system will begin real soon. Features relating to the new avatar system will be announced once the engineering work is complete! whee

Got yet another database server setup this morning, now with 6 slave servers running the forum area should be lag free for the time being. whee Also moved the URL to www.gaiaonline.com now. Though there was a small error on my part which stopped a few functions such as the profile page and avatar images from working. The problem is corrected early this morning and it'll take a few more hours for the entire Internet to catch up with those changes.

Anime Expo was a lot of fun, it was great to have met everyone at the panel, the 2 social events and at our booth. I hope next year we can put together even more activities and give out more prizes for everyone. whee

Kind of went into a working frenzy after AX. The load balancer seems to be working fine so most of the URL's are now pointing to www.gaiaonline.com. The rest of the services will follow after more testing. The gaiastore is also on-line, hope all those who missed the convention can still get their Gaia goodies. Also finished re-working the search function. Searching posts based on username or searching your own posts are now much faster. The keyword search feature is still being worked on at the moment. It will be completed after the avatar system re-write project. eek

Hope to fit two new database into service tomorrow to help out with the current lag issues. At the same time we're working on a total re-vamp of the database system. When the dust settles all the lag that we're experiencing should be gone! whee

I guess it depends on what part of Gaia you're referring to. Gaia, as a forum or game, I find very fun. I always have. There are no games, I can't join in on art contests, I don't really roleplay, and I don't own a shop to sell cute and fuzzy things, but the hard work put into creating all of the graphics, features, and functions still leaves me in awe to this day. Gaia, as a community, has often left me feeling sullen or "prehistoric." It is far different from what it used to be; there are few things in life that make me feel as impotent as the community majority here.

While I was answering questions I noticed that people were asking repeat questions at an increasing rate, and most of these questions were easily answered by reading Gaia's FAQ, the Rares, Gold, and More FAQ, and other stickied/helpful threads around the site. The problem, I thought, was that this information was spread all around the site- I admit it took me a few days of lurking to recieve links to such threads and information and to read them. I felt creating a centralized location for much of the most frequently asked questions would help cater to those who don't have days to search and second-guess. An embarassing moment occured about a week after I completed my first run of tutorials, however, as I looked through the General Discussion forum (I believe) and found a thread dubbed "Gaia for Dummies" that was set up similarly to mine, answered many of the same questions, and was made about a week before I created mine! I started to worry someone might think I was stealing their setup, as they also placed links on the first post. I'm glad no one felt that way, though. I had no idea it was there the entire time I planned/created my thread!

I am not an artist. I've never considered myself to be an artist- I have no talent, and I cannot create things on my own. What I feel I am good at, sometimes, is alteration or manipulation of something that is already there. The gifts I made for the administrators were largely unedited images- I simply manipulated the game through "cheat"-type codes to give them the appropriate sprite, abilities, equipment, and ecetera. It's not very difficult if you know what you're doing, but it can be time consuming.

By the way, I have re-created the gifts I made for the administrators. I felt the originals I made were not very true to the game's statistics, so I changed my method of manipulation to come up with the administrator gifts now in my appreciation thread, which you can get to by clicking the corsage in my signature. ^_^ I also left a gift for you and some of your fellow general moderators. I hope you like them. (Sorry if you don't get the game at all!)

But I know that for atleast a few people, their generosity gave them this gift, and not their materialism, and that is why the halo has such significance with me. Unfortunately, I would have to say the community, as a whole. There are good people here, but they are greatly overshadowed by the ungood. So much so that those who are not strong end up leaving, if only temporarily. I have taken leaves for this reason, myself. (Not to infer I am good. ^_^;) .. but the negative is something people hear far too much of; the negative aspects of Gaia are the most readily seen- they are the brightest lights and the biggest gaps. You really have to search to find goodness in peoples' hearts, and I hope someday that this search doesn't devour those who try.

the gaia friendslist is ready!.

the friendslist is a way to integrate a lot of the features current and upcoming throughout the site. through the friendslist you have two lists, one list of your "friends" and a list of "ignored". these lists will follow you through the site.

you can access your friendslist from your profile (the first nav button in the top banner). details about the navigation within the friendslist is as follows:

Friends
from when you first get there, you have the ability to add friends by username (or user ID, if you know that) from the form on the top right hand side of the page. just type in the username and click "Add to Friends". when you add someone to your friendslist, they will be notified with an avatar bubble the next time they refresh a page, which will take them directly to their "approvals" page. they then have the option of approving your request, or denying it.

Ignored
the ignore list works the same way for adding users to it, by username or user ID, but with one major difference. adding someone to your ignorelist is automatic, without authorization required.

Approvals
the approval list is basically what it sounds like. it's a list of people who have requested you on their friendslist, and you have the options to approve or deny them. if you approve them, you are added immediately to their list. after the approval, you will get a confirmation that everything happened correctly, and you will have a link to add the person(s) that you just approved to your friendslist. (if they are not already there). if you deny the request, the request is removed from the system. if someone repeadly asks to be on your friendslist, and you don't want to hear from them anymore, add them to your ignore list.

Pending
is your outgoing requests that have not been approved yet. from this list, you have the option of reminding people that you sent the request, or removing the request. you can only send one reminder every 24 hours. when you remind them, it sends them a PM telling them about the request. if you remove a request from your pending list, they will

no longer see the request.

Search
you can search for any user, by just about any string. to perform a search for a specific user, type the username. if you are unsure of the username, you can use a wildcard (*) for searching. for example, to find all users with 'John' at the beginning of their username, you would search for 'john*'. the search is not case sensitive. from the results, you can pick who you were looking for, and add them to your friends list, or ignore list.

through your friendslist, you can quickly see which of your friends are online, link to their stores, PM them, and see their profiles, with more options to be added soon. the friendslist has it's own settings... in your user's profile, you can set the Always show my Email Address, Hide your online status, & Allow Private Messages setting have the option of only friends.

Allow Private Messages
is a new option in your profile. the way it works is that if you set it to "No" you will no longer receive any PM's from anyone (other than the Gaia staff & moderators). by default, it is set to "yes" for all current users. if you set it to "only friends" you will only get PMs from people on your friendslist.

forum tie-in
the friendslist also gets into the forums. any users that are on your friendslist will have their name highlighted in blue, and any people on your ignore list will have their name grayed out, and their avatar "ghosted".

mail tie-in
a new option will become active once you start your friendslist, but in the mail system. when starting a new message, you have the option of send to friendslist. clicking this button, will put "friends@gaia" in the username field. this will then send the message that you compose to *everyone* on your friendslist. you can also send to multiple users on your friendslist, by typing in their names, seperated by commas. this will only work for users who are *currently* on your friendslist, and will not work for users who are not.

profile tie-in
if you view any user's profile, there is a new field that has been added. if the user that you are looking at is currently on your friendslist, then it will say so, and if not, you will see the same Add to Friends and Add to Ignored buttons that are found within the friendslist.


due to the nature of the friendslist, and how much it reacts with the rest of the site, at this time, there is a limit of 100 users on your friendslist. during testing, large friendslists degraded the site, and caused very slow load times. there may be a purchasable or questable upgrade to this in the future, but at this time, it is a fixed limit. also, friendslist groups have been suggested as a add-on feature, but will not be implimented due to the same limitations.

First of all you need to realize the price of the item you want. Let's use the Halo. because its so BIG. {Price wise..}

The price of the Halo is 20-25 Mil. Keep that in mind..

Then look at all the offers out there for the Halo. right now there is a 30 mil offer for a halo out there. If you feel discouraged at all once, then dont. Because once you start a hunt for something so big theres no going back. It's good to give back ALL the donations. Keeping them would make you a scammer..

Starting off, get all your friernds, close firends together and help them..move into your quest thread and bump it up. List donations, list your offer, list total value by GEN, SIN, EVIL. [you do this because everyone doesnt go by one price list]

Then take an image at your inventory and look closley at it. Sell all the clothing in the marketplace that your not attatched to. Keep all your donations and put them in the offer. You can get someone to do this for you if you want?

NEVER SELL/OFFER PRECIOUS THINGS OR GIFTS!

Keep important things and never ever offer all of your inventory. My quest offer at the moment is about 500K but my invintory is worth....over 6 Mil..so..:shrug: Just keep your important things. Never give up all your items for a quest. not smart...

No matter what new items come out or good offers come up, do not spend anything! DO NOT! No matter what. Unless you can spend it in offers and its FOR your offer {refer to next line below! thank you!}

Next, what you will want to do is bundel a bunch of letters together to get a oct/nov/dec ; one or two or whatever of those because the better and older the letter the...well, better. People dont want to see a whole crap load of things that are going to be hard to sell; they want to see a few things that go up in price VERY fast (there arnt many oct letters left blaugh ) Put whatever you get into your offer. And update your gold amount once a week...unless it goes up my 50K or something.

--I'm not 100% sure if thats what most buyers want but its a good guess...

Make a few banners, put them in the Gaian Times, your sig, your friends sigs, your friends threads, ect ect. Never..EVER pm anyone for donations. Dont beg for donations. Just let them come to you. Trust me. On the first post, dont but a sob story. DO NOT. It's tacky.

And insted of selling things in the market place you might want to make a store in Gaian Exchange to better further the advertisment of your halo quest--or whichever item you may be questing at the time.

And please..only do ONE quest at a time.. x.x;

Unfortunately the new software is having trouble working with the web servers. Lots of work are being done to get things running smoothly so we can release the guild and friendslist features. Please pardon the slowness while we have the problems figured out.

After a 40 hour battle looks like everything stablized. It's just tough luck on my part that the power went out right between all the chaos.

Basically, the new software didn't work right, causing extra load, the extra load caused more power consumption, which blew the circuit for the cabinet. After hours of rescue we uploaded the new database code that will allow us to create a dedicated user database server next month, and that code broke something which caused the posting errors and more database errors. >.<

Darknrgy is taking a break so the guild system will be delayed for a few days until he comes back. Meanwhile, we'll be expanding on the friendslist features tomorrow, and possibly the topics subscription feature.

Due to errors in the database system, all accounts will be rolled back by a day and a half. Meanwhile, we are still repairing potential bugs that are in the new software. We will be back on-line as soon as everything is tested again. Thank you.

A few users of Gaia Online are still unaware of the Roll Back that occured on July 16th, 2004. Here are some links to threads that would help you in the future if any bugs would appear again.

Gaia online had moved to a new database handling system on the 14th so we can scale up and meet the demands of our growing community. Unfortunately, even after testing, the new database system still had bugs which caused some severe damage to the many user's accounts.

Most of the major bugs had been fixed, however the only way to restore the thousands of damaged accounts is to perform a rollback.

As of this morning, everyone's account had been rolled back to their original state as of July 14th, 2:30pm.

We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience that this might have caused.

For those who had lost items or gold, please note the following:

Donation items - All donation items lost during the rollback period will be automatically recovered

Store items - Gold will be recovered to users who bought items from the stores during the rollback period through automatic scripting also. Due to the large number of transactions being made, we cannot gaurantee that everyone's gold will be fully recovered.

Items traded - Please contact the owner of the item and trade again if you have lost a traded item.

Thank you for your attention.

Announcements are always made in the Announcement Forum. So please always read or check up on that forum to keep up to date with Gaia Online.

You could also read the Current Bug List Problems made by two moderators of Gaia Online. This is a good thread it tells you what current problems people are experiencing with Gaia Online.

Been working as fast as I can to get various issues resolved. most link related problems with avatar delete and creation, duplicate post error, rare item event bugs, friendslist notification error had just been fixed, and vending should be back online also.

Currently working on event related bugs, then I'll work on restoring items and gold caused by the rollback. 3nodding

Just fixed the registration bug, sorry it took this long for me to notice the problem. sweatdrop Meanwhile, all donators who donated through paypal on the 14th and the 15th should have their items recovered now, and people who donated through regular mail will have their items recovered on Monday.

I'm working on recovery gold and items for people who spent money at the stores during the rollback period. Hope most people who spent money can have their gold recovered.

friendslist update

the friendslist was relying on the $HTTP_REFERER variable to process requests. due to user-side limitations such as personal firewalls & anti virus software, using this varaible reliably became a cause for concern. there were a somewhat large number of users who's security software was impeding them from using the friendslist at all, though they could use the entirety of gaia.

so, i made the appropriate changes. unfortunatly a few of the automated functions (<b>Move from Friends to Ignored</b> & <b>Move from Ignored to Friends</b> wink had to be disabled, because they required the user to click on customized links, and not form submit buttons, which would have passed normal form variables.

the friendslist should now be working in its entirety, with a re-worked new feature for accepting friendslist requests: you now have two options for accepting. <b>Accept Request</b> and <b>Accept & Add</b>. they work for one user request at a time, and work as the buttons suggest they do.

if anyone continues to have any problems, please let us know via the sticky that will be in Questions & Feedback.

Apologies for taking so long to repair the avatar server. First we had to slip in a brand new drive into the server, then there's a long, long wait time to copy existing avatars into the new drive, then we need to delete the old avatars. In between it all I was working on item recovery plus some security issues which kept delaying the repair for almost half an hour at a time. Now that the recovery and item updates are completed I can focus on the repair once again. Hope to have everything done before 2am. whee

The bugfix for the new database system had been a long and enduring battle. After working non-stop for 6 days the problem is still here. One of the last effort of installing a brand new web server seem to have minimized the problem but we still need to monitor the performance of everything at this point. sweatdrop

Meanwhile, other regular tasks such as updating the art arena and avatar spotlight had been delayed due to the bugs. Sorry for the delay.

The lack of sleep had been making me work even slower it seemed. I'm hoping to see light at the other end of the tunnel, otherwise I'll be switching back to the old system if the problem cannot be resolved. sweatdrop

Hello Gaians! This is for Free Fairy Wing/FFW Thread!

I seem to be slacking a bit it round updates but for all infromation on past winners and updates on rules and such you can just use the lings provided coded as "FFW Thread"! 3nodding

But this is about the7th round!

El_Taco was the winner of the 7th round!

She has won Fairy Wings and an art comission by me. Sadly, my sisters current BF slashed my MAC tablet so I wont be doing this soon.. sweatdrop . An interveiw will also be done and any time I am selling store items in a mini-store that I have surrounded in the community of the Gaian Exhcange, she will have an aditional 10% off. 3nodding .

Near the 50th page of this round in the FFW Thread I put myself on a futile quest (which ended, all donations returned) and moved FFW for 1000 pages. After that, FFW was moved back to the orginal FFW Thread and the 8th round will be ending on th 18,000 Page {Thats 3000 PAGES!} to keep the pages even, you know?

Now what was learned form this round? People stuck it out. it was moved around and they stayed with it. And not once this round was there a fight. I have noticed that no new people have been comeing into it and that sadens me alot.. crying . From all the interveiws and comments im sure that alot of you {who read the GT} would know that its a great place to go. Read the first page and post away. Get free stuff. What more could you ask for? All you have to do is talk!--{Right now I cant update it :O...it wont let me..}

But I think the same lesson learned is the same every single round. Treat everyone with the same respect as others. And although you may have been a member from the begining of Gaia time, if you have not been into the FFW Thread then you will be considerd a...'n00b'. Once inside the FFW Thread, it's somewhat of a differnt reality. The people there are great and never rude. And if there are any problems that you encounter there is a list of names bolded in the rules that you can PM, ask questions, report problems in FFW, conflicts, so and so.

Also, and questions or comments you can always come and talk to me {PM/AIM/Whatever}.

Bio: El_Taco has been around Gaia for a short time and in FFW for even a shorter time. Although this was her first round she did stick it out and just happend to post at the right time! And she wasnt even there for the Fairy Wings--she was there for friends. She's a sweet girl.. 3nodding

I'm in a complete state of shock. I didn't think I was going to win, definitely not in my first round anyway. I just happened to be in the campus library when I won and had to fight the urge to jump up and down. Screaming, even from joy, isn't really allowed there, of course. What an absurd rule. ;D

2>Now that you won do you still intend to stick it out at FFW?
Oh, of course. biggrin I love the FFW thread and the people in it. I'll probably stick around as long as it is up. Besides, I still have to talk more people into joining Lurker's harem. Sure, he's barely got any gold, but that doesn't mean he can't be a poor sugardaddy. XD

3>What do you think of all the people in FFW?
They are all complete nutters. ...But, you know, in a good way. XD

4>What do you think/feel about FFW Itself?
This is the first thread that I've actually felt comfortable to be in. The others that I have been in seem more impersonal to me somehow. About 90% of the time I'm on gaia is probably spent here. eek
