- You do not receive more gold for posts that are longer / contain more text.

I'm glad you posted, I had thought I remembered Ryonin mentioning that the time & length spent typing a post influences your the amount of gold you gain from it.

Also, in reference to birthday gifts:
There have been many posts and discussions about it, basically there are no birthday gifts. Period, profile or otherwise, as of now. The main problem would be users changing their birthdate every day to get a new gift. If they implement a way to keep users from doing that (or just not keep the code that allows them to edit it) then maybe it would be a possibility.

AND I'm running Safari on a Mac, and the trunks and gift boxes do too move around. :XP: But the rare event popup I keep hearing about doesn't popup. That may be because I have the Safari pop-up blocker option on, but whatever. Just thought I'd post that.

when (because the admins did say it would be added) the birthday feature comes in they will probably lock it after so no one can change their birthdays.

Interesting, well I haven't been on that long, but I just did a 9,633 character post and got NOTHING for it.

My subsiquent reply also yeilded no gold, and my first lurk yeilded no gold.

Then I got 2 gold for coming here to the Q&A.

I haven't been on that long, so, not sure quite what is going on. Interesting finds though.

Wouldn't it suck if they made the B-day system the day after your birthday?

there's a way; send trades then cancel them. i'm just too lazy to do that.
also when the buddylist/profile update comes that is supposed to be fixed so you can organize it, and even storage space for extra items.

yeah it would... i think it should be done on the day you signed up, but i'd rather wait for march than april sweatdrop
