ok i would like to make more things clear.
i have practiced the way off the wis my WHOLE life and i agree about people just getting into it because its 'in'
well for one thats another reason why i changed from being all pagan to hardly being it at all.
because most people say their wiccan or pagan and their just doing it because everyone else is.
celtic is not as commen, and it is centered around more of my beliefs.
i have lived my whole life this way without even knowing it! how could that be? but i have.. and now i know...
i wish i could use the word wiccan but it has been tanted far beond repair
it came from the word wic which meant Wise.
stating the way of the old shamans. but now its all about love spells and lighting a candle to bind a SOUL, for crying out loud!!!
what do these people think their doing??? how could they do that to the name of wiccan???

No one has accused anyone of doing anything even remotely related to Harry Potter. o.O I, for one, actually rather happen to be a fan of Harry Potter. That wasn't the point of this whole thing.

Also, I haven't seen a single person proclaiming themselves to be Christian and condemning anyone else.

I think you're misunderstanding the problem here. The people who are insulted by your sister ARE Pagan. People aren't angry because she's "pegan". People are angry because she's acting like a total flake, which makes people who actually take our religions seriously look bad.

Personally, I don't even see WHAT this topic had to do with herbs/herbology. There's been no mention of it. Only some 10 year old going around claiming to be an actress/model/native american/whatever.

And I know how much you people hate being told this, but no one will take you seriously if you don't learn to type properly. Yeah yeah, whatever, "gaia isnt skooll11!", but typing like a dip just reinforces the belief that you're a troll.

We weren't being rude to you, sweetie, we were simply asking for a few simple things. You know, spelling and grammar and things. It won't hurt you, I promise. If you were to just do these small, simplethings, people would be much more inclined to be polite to you.

I agree. *gives candy* Unfortunately, I can't translate witout being insanely rude to a child half my age, so...I say just say something random; we'll find it amusing anyway.

Uhh...no, this started off as you making a vague statement, and then getting defensive when people asked for clarification.

And some of us witches who actually STUDY herbology would like to point out that you didn't mentioned ANYTHING about it, in any post. Sounds to me like you just made up the term "herbal witch" and decided it sounded good.

No one is trying to be rude to you. What we ARE trying to do is let you know you're acting like a spaz. Do you really think that you're making a good impression by acting like a kid? Believe me, those of us who've been practising this for a long time don't appreciate it.

What? So if I understand you correctly...as a Pagan, I'm not allowed to point out when someone is acting like a total jackass?

If you want people to take you seriously, maybe you should try making some sense. At the moment, all anyone sees is a bunch of girls who seem to know nothing about Paganism, spouting off words like "I'm an herbal witch!" but never giving any information about WHAT they actually know.

Maybe you should try reading what your "sis" is writing. She claimed she was a model and an actress. I'm just going by what's already been posted.

i would also like to state that she might come out of being an actress anyways so that has nothing to do with anything...
another thing...i also dislike people who put a bad name to the word pagan but i try to see past that and let people know i'm different and nothing like that.
i try to let people know i am highly philisophical and will talk to people about anything. and be able to talk right back.

my cuz would like me to state that she knows more about herbal witchcraft then anything else. and the term she wished to use was Green Witch. and also i would like to refresh the fact that she is ONLY 10 YEAR OLD!!!! and just started practicing the way of the wis. she has much to learn and is well on her way.
she just wanted to know what people think and their opinion.

I'm very open to other cultures, I think a lot of them are rather cool. Would you like to talk about it? Maybe give a summary of what you believe in, and how you go about believin' it, possibly in a manner where everyone can understand you.

See, the beauty of spelling and grammar is that it makes it possible for us to communicate with each other clearly and effectively, so as to exchange ideas without confusion. Can we give that a try? That'd be super duper.
