As an oficer, you are to Serve, Protect, and Defend the people of Gaia. Whether if it be from other citizens, or if it be from unforeseen circumstances. The GPD stands as the Goodguys in a world of Evil. We will fight and be strong against the forces of Evil who wish to do harm to the people of Gaia.
In order to protect the people of Gaia, there should be some sort of level of Force an Officer can use. (i.e. If a man steals from someone, you don't put a bullet through his head.. make his return the item and pay a fine instead.) THIS IS NOT A CONVENTIONAL POLICE FORCE. Gaia has no written laws, so therefore we cannot enforce anything. We are NOT an Enforcing agency, we are here to Serve, Protect, and Defend the people of Gaia. Even to the cost of our own life for thiers.
An officer is to judge the ammount of force to be given at any time. If too much, or excessive, force is given, an Officer may be Warned the first time, but after that a superior officer will give what they judge to be an appropriate Suspension time.

exclaim QUICK DICTIONARY OF GAIAN TERMS exclaim
"RP" - means "Role Play" It's when you pretend you are your avatar (The little person you see when you log on).
"OOC" - means "Out Of Character" It means "This is me, not my avatar, talking" So OOC things can comment or comtain elements that aren't OOC, but the are mostly in the real world.
"IC" - means "In Character" It's the avatar talking. This isn't used quite as much as OOC is.
"Munching" - this is complicated. It means you are doing something that is god-like and impossible to really do. Either that or it is something un-ethical in the unwritten code of RP. i. e. Controlling another person's actions, Saying that you did something without actually RPing that you did it. etc. (for more information on Munching, go to the Anit-Munch Project.)

wink Building Description:Here's a Layout of the buidling..
Thanks to Zilthai, we now have an awesome looking building. I will keep the following details until he sends a finsished list of details...
-Titanium A foot thick all around. Gaia needs a Police Station that can withstand fools with great power.
-Ferro-Ceramic Armor outside. It can withstand extremely High Heats and take extremely hard hits.
-Bomb-proof room after you come in the door.. which is locked magnetically and mechanically. The room is a "buzzing in" room. when you knock on the little High Resistance window on the heavy door, someone will buzz you into the Front lobby. UNLESS YOU ARE AN OFFICER.. in that case there is a retinal scanner set up for you. Also, there is now a metal detector when you enter the first door to make sure that you are not carrying any firearms.
-Cameras. There are cameras that all link to monitors and tape recorders/VCD recorders in the Monitoring Room. They are placed to watch outside the GPD as well as inside. The only areas not watched are the stalls of the men's and women's bathrooms. However, the GPD's cameras are HEAVILY centered aroudn the entrances and exits. The garage is higly watched, as well as the front door.
-Front Desk. There is a Front Desk there where people take people with cases and problems from outside. There's an Elevator/Lift behind it if you want to use it, if not there are stairs behind that.
-Anti-Teleportation Runes and Computer Monitoring System. ATRaCMS. Basically, you cannot teleport into the GPD. Any attempts to Magically Teleport in will result in your being sent out of the GPD. Any attempts to Scientifically Teleport into the GPD will result in the Computer quickly sending your information back to it's sender.
-Turret System. Seven Turrets. One in front, and two on every other side. The building is a square shape.
-Ventilation System. The entire building's vent system is about as big around as a quarter. This is so people can't crawl in and bust thier buddy out of jail.
-The Garage.. it's BIG. It reaches under the GPD and out the back.. that's why it's shown like it is..
-Break area. Exactly what it sounds like.
-Breakroom. A.. um.. Breakroom.. come here for coffee and donuts. Or if you don't like that a quick cappuccinno or something. sweatdrop
-Shooting Range. A long place with human shaped targets at the end for practice in shooting. Your score is kept by a computer in the back and it is announced when you run out of shots. It will tell you your accuraccy rating after you are finished.
-Gym. Working out/ Dojo area. Come here to grow in strength of body and mind.
-Locker room. Male/Femal locker rooms are seperate for apparent reasons.. *cough*HENTAI*cough*.. the showers are also seperate. They have enough lockers in them for all our officers and then twice as many.
-Cells. These are Titanium bars with a self-locking mechanism when closing. There is a keypad on the cells for the locks as well as Mechanical locks. There is also bulletproof glass in front of the bars to prevent prisoners from peeing on the guards. xd .
-Roof. As can be seen in the diagram you can access the roof. However the roof locks after it closes, so DONT LET IT CLOSE BEHIND OU WHEN YOU WALK OUT TO SMOKE. 3nodding
-THIS BUILDING HAS BEEN ATTACKED BEFORE... and everyime we build it stronger. You cannot just blow us up from the outside or tunnel under and knock al the dirt from under us. It's not going to happen. Be Smart, Sneaky, and Surprising (but giving us time to respond).

exclaim LOCKDOWN SYSTEM exclaim
Due to being attacked, the GPD will either respond to being attacked by enemy gunfire or missile fire by itself, or any officer Chief Inspector and above may engage Lockdown. They may disengage it by calling up the GPD's answering machine and entering in a certain ten digit code. After the code is entered, they must pass through a voice verification system and the system will check if it is really you or a recording. Once proven, then the system will disengage lockdown, but YOU MUST BE OVER CHIEF INSPECTOR.
There are four levels of lockdown (0 Level neing Normal, and 4 being like a fortress):
Level 0 - Normal
Level 1 - Extra titanium armor falls over the windows, doors, and the outer walls.
Level 2 - Along with Level 1, Vanadium Steel armor is placed on the inner facing side of the titanium walls. Then Seven pop-up turrets "pop-up" all around the GPD.
Level 3 - The GPD sinks into the ground. A layer of Ferro-Ceramic armor covers the very top of the GPD, along with a five-foot layer of Lead. The "Hole" is basically the GPD underground, where everyone inside cannot get out. However, everyone outside, on the surface, cannot get in. Along with that a layer of lead is already built into the walls of teh GPD. (well, they will be sweatdrop )
Level 4 - This is when there is almost a Military Assault on the GPD taking place. When this happens, the GPD will not only do everything the other 3 levels have said, but it will release Drone Mechs. these are basically AI Mechs that will attack the attackers. They are armed with ER Medium Laser (2), Machine Gun (2), and Flamethrower (1). They are very resemlbing of the Mad Cat design except they have no arms, and the gunns are attached directly to the Mech's torso (Replacing the missile racks which would have made is appear exactly like a Mad Cat without arms). The GPD will send out a distress signal to any other governmental guilds. (Also, if there are any flying attackers, multiple SAM sites will pop out of the top of where the GPD sunk into. Thats what the big dome is for on the top of the GPD.)

These permanent magical runes can only be seen with a True Seeing Spell and Read Magic. They were scribed upon the walls by Tacitus Nusradai. Each symbol has been inlaid with a Divine Censor to acknowledge and recognize GPD members by their badges and aura. These magical runes are not fueled by any source, once they were cast, they were set until their caster is destroyed.
Roof--Rune of Forbiddance: Any that cannot identify themselves to the Divine Censor inlaid within the Rune that opens the Roof hatch within 5 seconds falls victim to the effects of the Rune and cannot pass. Subjects will be notified upon opening the hatch to identify themselves. The Divine Censor will scan aura automatically.
Buzz-in Area -- Greater Glyph of Warding: Upon activation of the Lockdown System, any that pass through the area fall victim to the effects of the Glyph
Next to the Front Door -- Glyph of Warding: Causes physical harm to any attempting to force their way in.
Symbol of Stunning: Anyone attempting to enter through the bulletproof windows from the outside is stunned.
Symbol of Electrical Storms: Anyone attempting to Force their way into the hanger, or escape after the lockdown system has been activated, activates this Symbol. Upon activation a small, intense electrical storm is stirred up in the area just outside the hangar door, disrupting unshielded electronic systems and harming biological systems (ooh, that includes the peoples).
Main Area -- Rune Node: Monitors and can activate the Runes upon activation of the Lockdown system, but does not fully control or have the ability to disable, any of the runes set up at the time, destroying it or deactivating it has no effect on the runes. If any Rune/Glyph/Symbol is set off, the Node will inform anyone in the main area which Rune was set off and where. ((has facets like a diamond suspended in air, each side shows the status of a rune))

These magical runes are not fueled by any source, once they were cast, they were set until their caster is destroyed.
Roof--Rune of Forbiddance: Any that cannot identify themselves to the Divine Censor inlaid within the Rune that opens the Roof hatch within 5 seconds falls victim to the effects of the Rune and cannot pass. Subjects will be notified upon opening the hatch to identify themselves. The Divine Censor will scan aura automatically.
Buzz-in Area -- Greater Glyph of Warding: Upon activation of the Lockdown System, any that pass through the area fall victim to the effects of the Glyph
Next to the Front Door -- Glyph of Warding: Causes physical harm to any attempting to force their way in.
Symbol of Stunning: Anyone attempting to enter through the bulletproof windows from the outside is stunned.
Symbol of Electrical Storms: Anyone attempting to Force their way into the hanger, or escape after the lockdown system has been activated, activates this Symbol. Upon activation a small, intense electrical storm is stirred up in the area just outside the hangar door, disrupting unshielded electronic systems and harming biological systems (ooh, that includes the peoples).
Main Area -- Rune Node: Monitors and can activate the Runes upon activation of the Lockdown system, but does not fully control or have the ability to disable, any of the runes set up at the time, destroying it or deactivating it has no effect on the runes. If any Rune/Glyph/Symbol is set off, the Node will inform anyone in the main area which Rune was set off and where. ((has facets like a diamond suspended in air, each side shows the status of a rune))
