Gaia's First Year Memory Timeline ~~ Happy Birthday, Gaia!

Happy birthday Gaia.

Some of my favorite and not so favorite memories.

I started out on Gaia as Quikslver87, but was sadly banned for false reasons, I started In may, and went to the name ~Ryo~, which was banned at the same time, and am Currently Wapatuli. I remember my first event and how happy I was that I literally squeeked. It was a lot of fun, and has been a lot of fun. And on gaia, I have tried to better myself and be an example for noobs. Happy birthday gaia, you are so awsome!

May 14-Joined after waiting about five days to get the e-mail.

May 17-I went to the Barton forest for the first time and tried to talk IC with those who were there. I waited for nine minuets then posted again, because there were no new posts. I felt that since I was new, maybe they didn't want me around. So, I said that IC I left. A little latter I recieved a PM saying that it was okay. I returned and made my first friends on Gaia, though out of the three one I've not seen again, one I almost never see, and the last is the one that PMed me. That last one I talk with sometimes and have lended my aid to a few times. That started on page 49 of the Barton Forest.

Late June or early July due to the update I could no longer get on to Gaia by my slow computer at the time. A newer faster computer fixed that, but I had been in a couple of RPs. The only one of them I found again by getting on at school in September was the Elven Guild RP. It had gone nowhere. I revived it three times since then, and a couple of weeks ago Arwen, yes Arwen, said that I should take over the plot in response to the PM I sent her, since she had been in it when I joined that RP. I had PMed her about the RP and now I am running it.

Opening my shop and making friends with my partner. Ever since I enjoy browsing Gaia and spotting someone with my wings in their signature. It just... brings joy to me for some reason.

I remember when I first got a pink floating gift box. It was a wonderful moment. heart Ten minutes later when I found another one, I cried. They were a nitemare and an angelic headband. 3nodding

July- After joining Gaia, I was never the same again. At first I was in shock at how big it was. Then I found a few friends that I knew from another site and had a place to hang. A week or so after joining I clicked on a page and up popped a pink gift box with wings. At first I was like "huh?", I never bothered to read stickies though now I do, I Instant Messaged my friends that I knew went on Gaia totally estatic that something was bouncing/flying around my screen, yet I had no idea what to do. *giggles*

September- That's when I found out it was possible to donate to Gaia without having cash in real life. My friend traded his Nitemare Collar to get me that months donation letter. After opening the letter and getting my angelic mini wings I wore them proudly even if I couldnt wear them with my fox ears. *smiles*

October- Ahh the rollback. Hehe. There is nothing I could say that majority of you dont already know. That was when I created my 2nd guild that was actually a hit and still sorta is. I celebrated my 19th birthday on Gaia on the 18th of that month. I like to believe my increase in rares the week prior to it was like a bunch of presents ^.^

December- Christmas on Gaia was truly a memorable event.

I joined in June, it took me awhile to realize how much time I would actually end up spending on this thread, but I definitely have memories. I think the best was a guild I joined pretter early on called WAATOW, which I'm pretty sure is defunct by now since people haven't posted in months, but it was one of the main reasons I came to Gaia and helped me tremendously with my feelings towards my own art.

I suppose that's more of a personal story, but I remember getting my first pink box, getting bouncies, and giving them to a friend that I convinced to join shortly there after and has remained on the site since.

I've also watched the transformation of the Chatterbox into what it is today sweatdrop

crying Oh god, this makes me remember the days where there were only 300 people on, there was practically nobody to talk to in the mornings and ... *bawls* I have this much Gaia!nostalgia and I've only been here for 7 and a half months. *sniffle*

^^ See, this is what we are looking for. Miz and I are very impressed that users have been making intelligent posts and not spamming or anything. This thread has really turned out well.

You guys did a great job of organizing and researching everything that happened in Gaia's time. 3nodding
