They told us gambino would be here at 12:00am pst (if i do remember). People waited anxiously as they kept refreshing and refreshing the page. Eerhm.. it came around 4-6am i believe.. @w@ i remember i was nakid at that time just to buy the cat set.. sadly enough, i soon figured you'd have to wait a while before deluxe cat ears were here (a month or two later). The trading system came into place, and the exchange was born. It was great! everything was quite cheap back then, and people cared more about friendship then items/gold. A collector started buying bunny slippers for 200 gold!! it was worth it for us who sold it to that person *who i don't think wants to be named XP*. I remember i convinced most of my friends, and went bunny slipper hunting just to help this gaian collect bunny slippers.. ha ha.. Oh! and the first art auction was created! eee.. that reminds me. >_< she still never finished it. (haunts girl blaugh *its alright!! hehe*)

ooh! right~ how can i forget? April!-

I joined this month (finally) after lurking around for 2 months. ^_____^. I was lucky enough to meet the greatest people in gaia there on my first few posts. Yayayayyayaa!! There was.. Arwen, spikeykun, nida, and a whole bunch of people that has currently slipped out of my head. ~sweatdrop~. Then i woke up one day seeing people with bunnyslippers. ~pout~ i didn't get mine till 1:30pm pst. and.. i got bunnies. ^____^. ooh yea! since gold was hard to get in the first few weeks (at leat for me)..since there wasn't exchange, people would run nakid to get an item! i remember i was nakid for a week to get 2k for a forehead jewel, then realizing my "future" outfit would look terrible with it. ~sigh~ so i was left with 1500.. then i was stuborn enough to buy back the clothes i had before... thus i ran nakid for nothing! crying gonk

whee This thread is great... I will just tell a personal story...

there have been many Gaian weddings in Gaia, most of them end up in separation but we didn't want that to happen to Iris and I, so we waited until we had a strong relationship to get married.

We prepared every detail, even created invitations and people had about a month to get new outfit especially for the wedding. I bought a top hat, a complex shirt, I tried to look as a groom (into the possible being a female) and when I got the clothes I showed them to everybody excepted Iris who was the bride.

The date we chose was December, 8th. If I remember well, on friday night Gaia began to crash a lot and suddenly Sasha was totally dead. Lanzer decided to take that weekend to fix the problem and all the people were forced to keep the outfit we had on that friday. We spent the whole weekend praying for Lanzer to fix the problem but that never happened.

We still had the wedding, the weirdest wedding ever... with people wearing only their undies, others naked, others with fairy clothes, but nothing like a wedding. Not even the ones who were getting married. xd Iris got quite frustrated but after all... everything went well, perfect.

Wedding on December 8th

One thing i remember about December is

on Dec 24th the day before X-mas i stayed up till about 1 am (on Dec 25th) waiting for the letters to be able to be opened and for the X-mas update. 3nodding But i had to sleep so i went to sleep but before i did the Dec letters were unsealed! But, there was a glitch. It was when you hit the NM scarf you go the Agelic one crying . I had 2 letter and opened them and got 2 angelic scarfs crying . So sad. I was kinda dispointed with the X-mas tree too. I donate too many times and got nothing but jolly slippers and trunks with cheap items sweatdrop . Hmmm that is all i remember about Dec 3nodding

Easter Day

There I was, more or less a newbie, but still addicted to Gaia. I logged in the day after Easter. I went to the forum index and BOOM, an egg is flying over my screen! eek I was shocked, but clicked it. I then opened it and got chickies. I stared in awe, I thought I had received a rare. After further research (anouncements) I found out one could get a lot of slippers if you'd just sell your old pair to the store. ninja

I got three pair of chickies before finally getting bunnies. mrgreen

I didn't know what the heck to do when I first joined Gaia....until I saw the Chatterbox Bar. That day I met a lot of great people. First impressions count for me. I decided that Gaia was, and still is, great. Now, a few great people know me here in Gaia. I feel so special... crying
