Gaia's First Year Memory Timeline ~~ Happy Birthday, Gaia!

i joined gaia in April.... so ive been through many cool events and updates

heres a funny story in the april easter day event...

my friend and i were trying to get pink boxes from those easter eggs.... and we just kept getting bunnys or chickies... so we sold them to the store to get some money and waited for another egg....

so... after a lot of tries we couldnt get any pink boxes.... but we still kept trying... but the funny thing was in my friends account... she stopped getting easter eggs... yes there was a bug... and my friend got very very angry.... so after about 4-5 hours she got another flying egg and stopped searching for the pink box.... yes this was a lesson not to be greedy... heh... but i did manage to get 2 pairs of bunny slippers on that day... yes it was another glitch biggrin biggrin

Well I joined in November 1st and the first thing I thought is about the anime character (avatar) is so cute smile I saved up gold and bought my very first outfit, that consists of the black tee, red hot skirt and the goth boots. In December when I encountered my first pink link, gift box and chest, I print-screened it.

Hey has anyone mentioned the famous "I'm auctioning myself" threads from january?! Like when grondax auctioned himself and got about 90k for it. I remember just sitting in my computer and just laughing, then seeing all of the other threads I decided grondax had started a revolution and I soon started watching these. Some are still going on now...

I was rather amused when I read Legend's post about the panda hats and Chibi Tejinashi's post about the android prosthetics. They were the first and only rare as of now that I've gotten since my joining, and I suppose it was rather lucky. I didn't like it much or anything, and I thought it would sell for really little--my first trunk item was a Black Skull Biker Helmet, and being the greedy little child I was back then when they sold for 700, I didn't think that was that much.

I got the android prosthetics in July, and after seeing someone sell for over 10k (which was a huge amount to me) I decided to put mine on market.

I had two high offers. I still remember the people and what they offered; SethPharos put up a grizzly hat and 10k, and AnimeDDRAngel put up 4k, Deluxe Cat Ears, and a July Letter. I took AnimeDDRAngel's offer 'cause I wanted the deluxe cat ears for a friend of mine at a guild because it was his birthday, and she said she wanted to share the prosthetics with her boyfriend because of a special occasion. sweatdrop

Oh boy, I have so many memories but I think my favorite memory that showed true kindness was when a certain Gaian (Name is kept private) sold me an August Letter for a mere 1000 Gold eek when it was going for about 5k or more. I was so poor and they sold it to me out of the kindness of their heart. That was the best moment on Gaia. It showed true Gaianship! whee

Another memory in June, was when there wasn't so many newbs! And of course, the Halo came out.

I was browsing through old saved pics, and well...

I can't believe I forgot about this!!!

The date: October the 31st. Halloween. Everyone was racing back and forth from store to spam thread collecting candy and trying on their new Jack gear. As I hurried to complete another set of 15 posts, I saw something that made my jaw drop.



The pumpkin stumps were making people invisible!! eek Alot of people began asking frantically which candy combination yielded the pumpkin stumps, and the race was on once more! Unfortunately, it turned out to be a glitch in the layering of the stumps, and by the time that most of us had gathered the required sugar treats, it had been fixed. sweatdrop Regardless, it was still hilarious to witness, and probably the coolest thing I saw on Halloween besides the presence of the almighty Jack! xd

i have been on gaia since november, and im always wishing i had found the site sooner, as i missed out on a lot of fun events! but, i have been a part of many since i joined. and i will never forget when earlier this month, an incredibly generous gaian (who shall remain nameless to save him from getting a million pms) gave me my minis for the price of one pair of blue (they look purple) panties. biggrin
