Okay, I gotta debunk this. Flashing for beads is not the only way you get beads. There are other methods.

You can, instead:
1) Bring a small child with you. They often get beads and sometimes little toys.

2) Hold up a sign that says "It's my birthday" or "I'm from (place)." If you're not from that particular state, province, country...you'll get beads.

3) Catchphrase. A simple one to use is "Throw me somethin', mister!" Classic stuff.
