Anybody know the manga ULTIMO?

I bought the first volume the other day, and you know what? I am just not really impressed. :/ It should be something that I'd be all over, but for some reason it's not clicking with me.

I agree with Zepys, that it doesn't really grab me as much as other series I've read that were similar in concept and such.

At least not in the early chapters. By the end of volume 3 now, however I'm hooked and not giving up on it. Maybe because Shaman King was similar and done by the same artist. It doesn't grab and pull you in from the start, but stick with it and it's rewarding. *nod, nod*

I personally think the reason though is Stan Lee's influence. Ultimo is his (I believe) 2nd or 3rd attempt at branching his stories out into Manga rather than american comics. It's mixed results really, but so far I enjoy it. *nod*

i love ultimo <3 i have been reading it sense it first showed up in shonen jump and i just love it. i have also been thinking of cosplaying ultimo for an upcoming convention

Considering Stan "The Man" Lee and the Shaman King artist are collaborating on this, I would have expected something...better. Granted, I love the karakuri-doji designs, and the characters look memorable enough (including Stan's avatar, "Dunstan" wink , but...meh, I know Stan Lee can write a better story.

I'd be all over an Ultimo action figure, though ^_^

Of course I love ULTIMO but I do have to say that I get very confused when the boys look like girl like Service, until he said the sentence "Be a Man" and I was like WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT????
I can't be the only one that though that? Right, Right, please someone tell me i'm right.
