Karin is of the Uzumaki CLAN...

So in a way, yes. Think of clans as... hmm... ALL of siblings' and cousins' spouse's families living near you and all carrying the same name. So some of them would be related through liek 10 generations... while others 1-3 generations.

Why is no one caring about Kabuto's past?

I love it... especially with Orochimaru playing a big part in Kabuto's life... freaking huge part right now... with yah know... joining his DNA and all that.

Oh oh... did anyone see the snake people in the tanks? I was like "Interesting... so that is probably Orochimaru's Perfect Snake Sage experiments..."

My god I hope it's over...could there be anymore of a boring back story than Kabuto's....Man, I'm glad Bleach is getting interesting to give me my entertainment seeing as how One Piece is going on more breaks than a black chick at a fast food restaurant!!!!

Kabuto isn't an interesting enough character to give a back story. You don't just have someone lay dormant all this time and then throw him out there and be like "OH Hey this is how he happened" naaaaah it's just idk....let me put it like this...if this back story never happened....no one would care he isn't one of those people you care about the past of.

Still...I am kinda interested in all that blood Kabuto and Orochimaru had been collecting...is that like a giant vat of AIDS? o.0

Why would that be a giant vat of AIDS?

Kabuto's backstory is like this: I don't mind it. I admit that I am not interested in it, but I'm not disinterested, either. I liked seeing some of the cool and legit characters of the past, e.g. Sasori...well, I enjoyed seeing Sasori. The Sound 5 I could leave. All in all it was interesting seeing how Kabuto became Orochi's right hand man and the various characters they came across and messed with.

I'll say this about Kabuto: although he's gone and faked out as it relates to his power, he did have some power of his own back in the day. I'd dare say he could've passed his Chuunin Exams, and was perhaps a little lower than Kakashi back in the day. I personally never saw why or how he could be compared to Kakashi, as a few characters mentioned back in the day. Likewise, he was only able to injure Tsunade because he exploited her fear of blood. I could never say with truth that he was on her level back in the day. Healing wise, maybe, and that's a stretch given through concession; I wouldn't even put Hashirama on her level as far as healing. But back to my point; Kabuto was clearly no push over in Part l.

That said I'll say I never really cared for him, outside of the games, given he always got away and, in my opinion, was always able to be dealt with. I mean, he never got to fight Kakashi and prove himself worthy of being called on his level. Any other time he fought before now always posited him as having the drop on someone. He never fought anyone in a fair fight, or rather he never picked on someone of his "own" size. I mean, fighting Kakashi would have truly done the trick, in my opinion, since Kakashi really only deepened his mastery of the Sharingan over the last couple of years, not his arsenal of a 1000 jutsu.

Why would that be a giant vat of AIDs, you ask? Well, considering that the blood comes from hundreds of human experiments...I'm guessing at least one would be infected with SOMETHING... Please excuse my nonsense...lived in DC for too long and I'm a bit doubtful about the blood of others...

Orochimaru would have gathered unique abilities... Kekkei Genkai, and all that... Possibly diseases for poisons and all that, because he is a Snake Sage...

I think Kabuto is on par with Tsunade when it comes to KNOWLEDGE of the body, but his skills still had wrong to grow in Part 1.

Lately he has shown he can take other people's abilities and transform them for personal use... Like turning into a liquid... or healing himself... But he is making similar mixtakes to Orochimaru... gathering knowledge, gathering abilities... but his skill and strengths were not mastered... I believe Orochimaru never mastered anything because he had too much on his plate. That was his weakness.

So you're saying that Kabuto has a bunch more bloodline abilities flowing through him? That should make the latter half of this fight a little interesting...

Yes... he has said that.

He has a healing ability of the Uzumaki (Karin specifically) and the hydrafication ability of the Hozuki clan.
Orochimaru's not a Snake Sage; he was unable to master the techniques. Also, Orochimaru wasn't a jack-of-all-trades in the sense that he didn't master one thing or another. I assume you think he didn't really think he mastered anything because of his downfall at the hands of Itachi. If so, I'd have to disagree since he really went down due to the fakeness of the Uchiha brothers. Honestly, I will never, ever consider his loss to Sasuke as a victory for the latter. I can maybe give it to his brother, and even then that's because everyone seems to think he could just murk Orochimaru, but definitely not Sasuke. Personally, I think Kishimoto just kinda of sh1tted on his character towards the end of his life given how he took him out. As I always say Orochimaru was completely unstoppable in Part I and was not only able but willing to fight anyone and anything, be it Kage, fellow S-rank ninja, or even tailed beasts. But when it comes to those damn Uchiha brothers it just seemed as though he falls to pieces. I think that the way Kishimoto wrote him out of the story did a huge disservice to the veritable villain that was Orochimaru.
