Shugo Chara...love it...hate it...read it?

Tried the first volume.

Read it, absolutely hated Amu.

I don't understand the big deal about her, or why everyone loves her.

She's selfish, shallow, everybody likes her because she can act like a b***h, and she's a cry baby.

But, oh well. I liked Tadase and Ikuto.

since when is amu selfish and a crybaby? she helps take care of her sister and she just wants to be herself and not everyone likes her utau doesn't. And they like her cuz she's just being herself and trying to find her would be self and because she a good person

i only read the first two volumes, & then i moved on to the anime. in my opinion, i like the anime better than the manga of shugo chara. heart

so far i like it but i don't know if the 2nd season is out or not...i only read vol 2,3 before i began watching the anime(anime was easier to get a hold of).

All she thinks about is being perfect and having the great prince guy like her. Of course Utau doesn't like her; Ikuto seemed to fall in love with Amu for no apparent reason. She isn't being herself, she acts like a moody teenage brat to get the attention of other people and she isn't very willing to change. She obsesses over her clothing and seems to show no concern for others. Not my definition of a good person.

But that's just my opinion. I know lots of people like Amu, but I'm just not one of them. =D

i guess diffrent people see her diffrently cuz i see her as a person who cares about others if she didn't why wouldn't she get mad when ikuto crushed that x egg?

anyway i think shugo chara is a great manga and anime and the game for the ds looks awsome i hope the anime comes out on dvd in the U.S. and i also hope the game comes to the us too

I've only read the first volume and I like the story but I don't like the main character: Amu.

I was born for it.

I think the manga though a little girly is really good, after reading the 3rd volume I loved it but I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE ANIME!! you can say it follows the manga all you want but the truth is that after you read the manga and go to watch the anime it just ruins it really it does it jumps all over the place and takes things from different volumes and adds random things that don't happen in the manga I HATE the anime and I wouldn't suggest that you watch it if you like the manga because it really just ruins the story in my opinion.
