Books: There are 10, and there is also a TV series. 1st and 2nd season available in the US right now.
Basic Premise/Basic Plot:The story opens with Sana Kurata, and her classroom full of misfit boys who are so disruptive, learning is impossible. She decides she has to battle (in her own unusual way) Akito Hayama, the ringleader, to regain order in the class. The plot progresses from there.

Your Rating for the Artwork: B+, although there are "stills" that are pretty amazing
Your Opinion/Review of the Art: Easy to follow, well done, great facial expressions

Your Opinion/Review of the Story: I've read and reread this series at least 20 times. I have to tape the covers so they don't fall off. It just never gets old! Keeps you laughing, and the few serious parts are really strong.

Basic Premise/Basic Plot: {Am not really into Mecha but this manga has to be my absolute favorite.}
Renton is a 14-year-old boy who occasionally helps out his grandfather as a mechanic.
But his feelings of dissatisfaction and frustration grows as his mundane and routine work
clouds his visions for his future and he dreams of flying around the world.
It isn't until one day, a large human-like mecha, a LFO (Light Finding Operation),
falls from the sky in front of Renton and appearing from the depths of the
machine is a beautiful young girl named Eureka.
And as she asks the dumbfounded Renton for repairs,
the two will embark upon a fantastic journey into the unknown.

Basic Premise/Basic Plot: Akuma, monsters born from dead souls mistakenly recalled by their loved ones to the living world, are the weapons of the Millenium Earl, who is intent on the destruction of the world. Allen Walker has been cursed with an anti-Akuma weapon as his left arm and an eye that sees the former soul of the Akuma since his youth. He is also one of the few who contain "Innocence", a substance that allows him to kill Akuma and fight the Earl. With these powers, he joins the Black Order, an organization that is against the Millenium Earl, as an Exorcist and sets out with other Exorcists to stop the Earl's attempts to annihilate the human race

Your Opinion/Review of the Story: There is something about the story that makes you connect. The all the characters has his own inner struggle, his own deep dark secret that makes you actually feel for them and for what they are struggling for. The impact that makes are great manga is there. The struggle and the humor and the action. They're all present. Give this manga a chance, you'll sure be brought into its own world. It may look like a typical cliche manga at first glance, but there is more to it than meets the eye. The art is splendid as well!

Suggested for people who like: Those who read Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, One Piece and all the other cool shounen manga's will most likely dig this one. I highly recommend it!

Title: Lovely Complex

Genre: Comedy, Romance
Basic Premise/Basic Plot: Risa Koizumi is the tallest girl in class, and the last thing she wants is the humiliation of standing next to Atsushi Otani, the shortest guy. Fate and the whole school have other ideas, and the two find themselves cast as the unwilling stars of a bizarre romantic comedy.

Your Opinion/Review of the Art: Very pretty, with good proportions. The clothing is very realistic-looking. The facial expressions are very good, too.

Your Rating for the Story: A++++
Your Opinion/Review of the Story: It has twists and turns that are very interesting and keep you interested. Its climactic moments aren't so dramatic that they're cheesy, and the cheesy moments are adorable. The romance isn't forced or pushed, it's very natural and you can see it happening in real life.

Suggested for people who like: Romantic comedies in general.

Basic Premise/Basic Plot: It's about a girl named Sumino Hikage who describes herself as "plain". She is a very shy and insecure child. Because of her unassertive attitude and unappreciated beauty, she finds herself constantly ignored by her classmates and has a difficult time making friends at school.

Your Opinion/Review of the Art: It's adorable art work, but if you hate cutesy stuff it might annoy you.

Your Opinion/Review of the Story: It's what some people might call a typical shoujo story, but personally really, really liked the story.

Suggested for people who like: if you like Kimi ni Todoke you would probably like it.

Books: There are 36 volumes in Japan, but Tokyopop has only printed 31ish due to licensing issues, so you would have to get it in another language or something
Basic Premise/Basic Plot: Blonde, hip, pragmatic and cool, Ginji Amano has the power to generate currents with his body like an electric eel. Brunette, equally hip, bespectacled and rambunctious, Ban Mido has the mystically mysterious 'Evil Eye,' the power to create illusions in the minds of his foes. Together, they are the GetBackers, the best retrieval team in the world. They can get back anything taken from clients, and their success rate is (almost) 100%!
However, first they have to get some clients--and soon--or this spry retrieval duo will starve on the streets!

Along the way he faces an old enemy who killed the most important person in his life and is now trying to take over the world.

My Opinion/Review of the Art: Awesome! Action scenes are realistic and facial expressions are amazing. Chibi's are just flat out cute!

My Opinion/Review of the Story: A great mix of action, humor, and futuristic technology, with halarious interactions between characters.

Suggested for people who like: Zombie Powder, Kekkaishi, Naruto or Skip Beat. (And if you like this you'll like those!) If you love action, drama, and humor at the same then read Black Cat.
