Your Rating for the Artwork:
B-C

Your Opinion/Review of the Art:
The artwork is really cute, though definately not the best, nor the most detail that I have seen. It's a little childish, but the expressions on Chii's face are so cute sometimes that they make me ROTFLMAO. ^_^ (See signature for a preview pic)

Your Rating for the Story:
B-C

Your Opinion/Review of the Story:
The story is composed of short 15 page (more or less) chapters. But, all in all, it's still a really good read.

Suggested for people who like:
I believe that anyone can like this manga. Keep in mind, it is geared towards younger children, but I, being 19, still love it. I believe that girls will be more prone to like it then boys, but you never know.

"You're a book I've read over and over."

title: Blade of the Immortal
author: hiroaki samura
rating: i guess 18 and up, its kinda graphic.
genre: fantasy, adventure, drama
basic plot: an immortal samurai whos working to try and die. he helps a young woman to seek revenge on the sword school who took her families life.
artwork: definately a+
artwork opinion: some of the most beautiful artwork i've seen, instead of mirror imaging the pages to go from japanesse to english, the publisher actually cuts and refits each individual frame together for the translated version.

story: a+
opinion of story: the story starts out simple enough to draw you in, and then all of a sudden, you're so deep, you dont even want out. its enthralling, and actually means something to me. its special.

suggested for people who like: well, not naruto, or dragon ball z, or any of that other gay stuff, it's a real period piece, with real issues, that just puts the other crapola every one seems to be interested in to rest. You wont even care about inuyasha once you read a real story.

But, their are some obsticals that he has to overcome, like no humans are allowed in the academy, all the hottest girls like him and hate to see him with any girl other than herself, and all the guys are trying to kill him because he gets all the attention.
Your Rating for the Artwork: A
Your Opinion/Review of the Art: very nice and very detailed
Your Rating for the Story: A
Your Opinion/Review of the Story: I love how he (the weakest person in the academy) gets all the attention
Suggested for people who like: Action, ALL types of mythology, romance, and comedy mixed together in a classic boy meets girl" setting, (even though its more like "boy meets many girl monsters who have a crush on him"...)
CHECK IT OUT!! blaugh

Title: Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
Author: Amano Akira
Rating: T+ (realistic violence)
Genre: action / comedy / shounen
Basic Premise/Basic Plot: Sawada Tsunayoshi is nicknamed 'useless Tsuna,' for his inability to succeed in his studies or athletics, and he's scared of the neighborhood chihuahua. But when a little baby named Reborn shows up claiming to be a hitman for the Vongola family come to train him to become the Vongola's 10th-generation boss, he might have found the 'magic bullet' required to turn his life around!

Your Rating for the Artwork: A-
Your Opinion/Review of the Art: Detailed and easy on the eyes.

Your Rating for the Story: A
Your Opinion/Review of the Story: Well thought-out, though a little sluggish at the beginning, it picks up very well and introduces an interesting, colorful cast of characters.

Suggested for people who like: A good read, funny but serious, and don't mind quite a few chapters of start-up. It is shounen, but the cast is so likeable and the plot so engaging that you probably won't hardly notice.

Title: Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro
Author: Matsuei Yuusei
Rating: T+ (creepy demons, blood, and violence)
Genre: psychological / mystery / shounen
Basic Premise/Basic Plot: Neuro is a demon of the underworld, who eats 'riddles,' or at least the negative energy they release. But when he is tired of the underworld's bland riddles, he comes to the human world and recruits Katsuragi Yako to help him, and in return solves the riddle of her father's murder. All the while, he is searching for the 'ultimate riddle...'

Your Rating for the Artwork: C+
Your Opinion/Review of the Art: The artist is an amateur at the beginning, you can tell, but the art rapidly improves, and you can't notice it after several chapters.

Your Rating for the Story: A-
Your Opinion/Review of the Story: It has a very clever story, and is never boring; Neuro's bizzare personality and unique methods of solving each seemingly-impossible mystery are very engaging. However, there are some parts where you simply have to sit back and accept that something happened, without an explanation.

Suggested for people who like: Detective stories, because even if the detective is from hell, he's still solving mysteries. Deserves a look, no matter how brief.

Title: Zombie Powder
Author: Kubo Tite
Rating: T+ (blood, violence)
Genre: action / supernatural / shounen
Basic Premise/Basic Plot: A world where a special powder is sought out by Powder Hunters for its power to bring the dead back to life and make the living immortal. Akutabi Gamma is one such hunter, collecting the Rings of the Dead in order to obtain the Zombie Powder!

Your Rating for the Artwork: A
Your Opinion/Review of the Art: I always liked Kubo's earlier art style over the more evolved style that appeared in Bleach, and that's what you get in Zombie Powder, his first major series.

Your Rating for the Story: A
Your Opinion/Review of the Story: I haven't read all of it, but it is easy to follow, and full of very original ideas.

Suggested for people who like: action stories, because as Kubo notes in the first volume, 'mainly, it's all battles.' But don't compare it to Bleach because it's the same author: Kubo exercises brevity much more in this work, and the story came out better for it.

Title: Crimson Hero
Author: Mitsuba Takanashi
Genre: Sports Shoujo
Publisher: Viz Media
Number of Volumes: 8 so far
Rating: T for Teen.
Basic Premise/Basic Plot: Crimson Hero is a volleyball manga about a girl, Nobara Sumiyoshi, who doesn't quite fit in with her family and goes to great lengths to pursue volleyball. She has to build up a team from scratch without a coach and battle to keep it. The boy's team is among the best in the country and disapprove of the girls taking up gym space. But Nobara lives with 4 of the boy's players as the interm dorm mother. They are rooting for her to succeed... maybe a little too much... As Nobara gets through each obstacle thrown her way, she may be creating more but shes too focused on volleyball to see anything but her goals.
Your Rating for the Artwork: B+ Its good, I can't read a manga without good artwork, I'm very particular about it but I think thats a good grade for it.
Your Rating for the Story: B+ I do love this manga but if you are a real volleyball player like me you sit there critiquing the volleyball... I guess its a little different style in Japan but the game itself can't be. Nobara can get quite irritating at times because she has a young, ignorant mind and that sets off other characters but I love this manga!
Suggested for people who like: Volleyball, or sports mangas, otherwise just general shojo mangas.

Title: My Heavenly Hockey Club
Author: Ai Morinaga
Genre: Comedy, Shoujo
Publisher: Del Rey
Number of Volumes: 5 so far
Rating: 13+
Basic Premise/Basic Plot: It actually doesn't have much to do with hockey so don't be fooled. And what little hockey is in it is field hockey not ice. Hana Suzuki is forced into joining the hockey club, even though its a guys club, but she doesn't have much of a figure so it doesn't matter with a mask on. The only thing Hana likes to do is eat and sleep... which she does a ridikkulous amount of. So the only thing that keeps her in the club is that the extremely rich president of the club gives her all the best foods. The club is more of a traveling club and has yet to win a match... or play a full match because something always happens to prevent them from playing. But no matter where they travel for a match an adventure is to be found. ^_^
Your Rating for the Artwork: A-
Good artwork of course for me to be able to read it! The art is silly sometimes too ^_^
Your Rating for the Story:
Hmm... the story itself... the basic plot is simplistic, but the way its written... well its strange but I found it hilarious... the storyline I'd give a B- to but how it was executed I'd give an A

Title: Dragon Eye
Author: Kairi Fujiyama
Genre:Shonen
Publisher: Del Rey
Number of Volumes: 5 so far
Rating: 13+
Basic Premise/Basic Plot: A virus, the D virus has spread throughout the world turning people and animals into Dracules. There is no cure for it. Those with natural immunity to it become VIUS to fight against the Dracules. It may sound a bit like 28 weeks later but its not at all. Leila Mikami is looking to rid the world of these monsters and joins VIUS in search for the Dragon Eye, a third eye that gives you incredible strength... at a price. She finds it her first day there implanted in the notorious captain of the notorious squad zero... a childish, food loving boy, whose age is unknown. She is assigned to squad zero, whose members include her, the captain, and a strange dog. As they go on mission, and attempt to recruit members you learn everyone there has a tragic past they are trying to deal with as they work to protect the civilians from the D virus. As they fight the spread of the D virus, they also have internal battles. Why does everyone hate this childish captain? Why does he have such a notorious reputation?
Your Rating for the Artwork: A- There is a lot of detail but strangely enough, not in the eyes, they tend to be empty... but still very good.
Your Rating for the Story: A Its purely shounen, lots of fighting, a little comedy, and a good plot biggrin
