Starting up a new thread, since the previous one I followed was closed by the thread's creator.

Negima! Magister Negi Magi! is a popular manga series by Ken Akamatsu, the creator of Love Hina and other works, and is often described as a fusion of Harry Potter and a harem manga.

Ten year old magic prodigy Negi Springfield has been assigned to Mahora Academy in Japan as a English teacher, as well as to give him practical experience in dealing with 'ordinary' people. Sadly Mahora is FAR from ordinary, and his life gets very interesting.

Negima is definitely one of my favourite manga, especially the school festival arc is one of the best written stories I've seen in a manga yet (in my humble opinion) cool

Negima has everything I despise in a manga--too many characters, pandering fanservice, characters that all look alike...


...and yet, for some reason, I love it. Akamatsu somehow manages to take a bunch of cliches and make them entertaining, which is no mean feat!

I still have a concussion I'd like to give to whoever thought Negima Neo was a good idea.

Negima Neo is... not TERRIBLY bad. *lol* That's about the best I can say for it. They did do a good Konoka/Setsuna chapter tho.

As a die hard Akamatsu fan I did buy neo, it's not bad but not good either.. I'll just put more love into the original story xP
I could never really get into the anime.. though some of the newer ova's are pretty nice~ I wish the Yue ova would come out sooner rather than later O:

I haven't even looked at Neo, I don't see the point in it. Though I love the original story. It's what got me back into the Otaku scene. I kind of wish they'd get back to the tone the story had when they were all at Mahora. Not that I don't like the magical world or I don't want Negi to find out about his parents, It just seems like a different manga than when it started

Well, Neo fills the void until Mangafox has the rest of the original manga translated. Unless someone else cares to tell me a different site that has the full series.

Volume 28 is out in English!

Lovely Yue cover. ^__^ Yue gets reunited with the Negi crew, as well as showing the aftermath of the Negi/Rakan battle. GREAT Setsuna/Konoka chapter too.

Anyone else pick this up yet?

Nope, waiting for my volume to arrive~ Though I am up to date with the latest chapter online.. I always look forward to new volumes coming out in English <3
