Bad weekend. Whitney Houston has passed on, and now Mangastream has, too. As someone on the Naruto thread said, this just reeks of planned sabotage on behalf of the manga distributing companies like Viz. This is sorta like when they shut down Onemanga. Now where do we go to find Shounen Jump?

Maybe you shouldn't read it then if you can't look for it. This wasn't planned sabotage. MS did themselves in. MS constantly flaunted the fact they were pirating, they posted on kubos twitters comments about an UNRELEASED chapter in Japan, they constantly advertised and had horrible translations.

I don't know about any of that stuff but, by far, MS was better than other sites. They didn't archive, which coaxed fans into buying the volumes when they came out.

I remember a time when we didn't have lightning fast pirates and cleaners and the best we had was to wait until saturdays for M7's stuff as they gradually got faster and faster, pushing their releases forward more and more until we were lucky enough just to have them on Thursdays half of the time. Old man rambling aside though, at least we won't have to deal with MS's pretentious watermarks.

If other sites were stealing Mangastream's scans, then wouldn't you get the same experience on any of them? When I wanna read soemthing i just google manga-[whatever word comes into my head] and I'll use the first one that comes up. I've never noticed a difference between any of them.
Yes, MS didn't archive, but that means nothing to people who are just reading new chapters as they come out. Also, it was kind of annoying for people who bought the volumes anyway, because if I was trying to remember a specific scene from earlier in the series, it was always faster to find it online than search my bookshelf (on which all my manga are placed with the volume no. facing the wall by some idiot ... totally not me).

Also: Whitney Houston? Seriously? David Kelly, a legend in the world of acting, died the next day and nobody mentions him?!
