Since Peach-Pit is working on Shugo Chara right now, I doubt they'll be getting back to Shinku & Co. any time soon. Also, Shugo Chara is published by a different company than RM was, probably due to PP's falling out with their editor (or whatever it was that happened that resulted in RM's stunted and ultimately unsatisfying ending in vol
cool . If Birz Comics has any residual publishing rights to RM, then PP might be even be able to publish subsequent RM tales with another publisher even if they wanted to (this is probably not the case, but I'm not 100% sure what PP's deal was with Birz or exactly how Japanese copyright and publishing rights work).
Some people say that the Overture OVA is "season 3," even though it technically takes place as a flashback and in the middle of season 2. Seeing as how the OVA was done a few years ago, I highly doubt the studio that animated the series will do any more than another OVA in the future, although an OVA probably won't be long enough to resolve the story the way Peach-Pit wanted to. Also, there seems to be a statute of limitations on anime properties like this. If they wait too long, then the series will fade from Japan's public consciousness, and the demand for it just won't be there anymore.
Wow..this post was almost two months ago. xD
Yeah....if they ever decide to go back, it probably won't be for a looong time.
From what I hear, the editor lost a draft for a chapter, starting doing weird changes to the story like changing some characters' names or making Souseiseki a guy.
I'm thinking PP may do something similar with what clamp is doing with legal drug. Maybe put it off and y'kno wait till the company Birz's liscense on Rozen Maiden expires and then take it to a different publisher.
But then I don't even know if Birz even still has the liscense for it.
Yeah...they'll have to continue from Traumend which came out in 2005, and it does seem very unlikely. I'd love if they pulled an Evangelion tho.
