Welcome to Gaia! ::

Today, I went through my dusty manga shelves series-by-series and couldn't help but wonder what in the world was wrong with me when I decided to buy some of them.

Was it my maturity level? My changes in taste?

Regardless, I'm just completely baffled by whatever drove me to spend bundles of money on such tasteless manga titles.

arrow Series you're willing to disown.

arrow Why you've shunned them.

arrow Why in the world you might've bought them in the first place.

arrow What you're willing to do to get rid of them.
nope i treasured all of my book wink
even the book i found i don't like it later i read, I keep it anyways
My collection is pretty tiny, but even still there are a few things I regret buying.

Bleach Vol 1-2: I lost interest in Bleach after a little while, so this was money I could have spent elsewhere (and if a series has more than 15 volumes it better be mind-blowingly awesome, I just didn't feel that way about Bleach)

The Demon Ororon Vol 1: I bought this like two years ago before I had any idea they would make an omnibus with all four volumes. I ordered the omnibus, which was cheaper than buying the last 3 volumes separately, and now I guess I'll just give this lone volume away to a friend.

FLCL Vol 1: I like the anime so much I rushed out to get this, but it just fell short of my expectations.

And a round for manga I bought, lent to people, and never saw again so I may as well have not bought them at all: The Dreaming 1 and Rave Master 1.

Same here. ^^ I love all of my manga I buy...when I buy it, I make sure that I actually like the series, and Ill want to read it over more than just once.

Lol! It must've been your maturity level. But I like all of my mangas still! blaugh
I still like almost every series I've collected. The ones that I bought and really dislike now, I ended up disliking way back when and stopped buying them (like Fruits Basket). I don't think I have any "OMG WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME" series that went past volume 1 or 2. lol

I kinda regret getting Naruto 1-10, but I still like them a bit. Hayate's still alive in them. I'm just glad I didn't continue to collect them. Now that would be a waste of money.

xD Rave Master.

Luckily, I bought the FLCL DVDs for lesser-than-normal prices, and got the second one as a gift. They could do better than two-per-disc... but it's better than Japan's rip-off: they sell them episode-per-disc. ;P Six expensive DVDs. Sheesh.

The feeling you have for Bleach is what I have for Naruto. Man... I lose interest in Shounen so easily.
Series I want to send to the trash bin... I mean, return box:

- Kill Me Kiss Me vol. 2

(It was such a friggin' let down! Gah! The first one was relatively okay, with the sexuallity crisis and what have you, but what happened here?)

- Tokyo Babylon vol. 1

(Good, classic CLAMP read... but I can't believe I threw away ten bucks for one zip-through.)

- Peach Girl: Change of Heart vol. 1

(NOT my type of manga. That's what I get for being a conformist.)

- Gamerz Heaven vol. 1-2

(Sigh. Maki Murakami-Gravitation-stage.)

- Deathnote vol. 1-4

(Jesus those guys thinks too much.)

Aw...too complex for you? xD
I look at my collection of manga and I have no regrets. Lucky me.
I bought Faerie's Landing 1 a while ago. One of my friends let me borrow a few volumes after that and although it was an interesting series it kind of killed my desire to buy the rest, so that lone volume will forever sit there...
that ma'am is the reason i dont pay for this stuff. I usually loose interest pretty fast.

Oh god, I hate myself every time I see my manga shelf. I have about 60 or so, and I'm hoping to sell them to a used book store for a little pocket cash, except for Azumanga Daioh and Cardcaptor Sakura (which was a gift).

One day I woke up and discovered that manga were no longer of interest to me. It just happened instantly one day several years back.
