Did you ever see the Doctor Who movie that was made in the 90's? It takes place in 1999 in San Francisco. The city was over run with gangs --& rofl <-- I think The Doctor wasn't British xp ( The Doctor, not The Actor). ... and since there was Graffitti every where.. the T.A.R.D.I.S. wasn't safe stare

The movie was made in 1996. It did take place in San Francisco during New Year's Eve 1999. The city wasn't overrun with gangs. The Doctor just landed in a shady alley and was caught in an unfortunate situation. Also, the Doctor technically isn't British at all. He's Gallifreyan (Time Lord). Grace did mention him being British though.

With all the other crap that's happened to the TARDIS, a little graffiti isn't going to hurt her. I mean...she was painted pink at one point. >.>

The police and main chick were rambleing on about how Gangs had taken over San Fransico.


Atleast that's what I remember. But I saw it years ago. So this is just junk that stuck out. It was humerous that San Fransico was a bad place overrun with Gangs. I think it was based on a book written many years ago... a prediction of the state of San Fransisco in the Year 1999. Which conflicted the state in 1996... and 1999.. but felt bizaar since things were so different in 1996 from how the story pictured they would be in 1999.

Actually, that was the 8th Doctor (Paul McGann). It was a total s**t movie. He did a good job, but the script was hacked to bits by American TV producers (thinking Americans wouldnt understand it). Its a was a sad attempt. Lets just be happy RTD managed to do it.

I agree. The men playing Doctor Who were the only things good. There was alot of Comedy but it felt like every statement every character made conflicted with something a moment later and the script hadn't been adapted to the current state of San Fransisco or given wiggle room that this might be an alternate reality (like some more recent series give the feel of, when the look and technology of cities a couple years earlier then the air date clearly do not match our reality).
