Tickets are EXPENSIVE! Maybe cut down the prices to 1k and give the current buyers 3 x the tickets they already have. 3nodding Then increase the slots by the correct value. Hope that helps. 3nodding

i have a question though. i started a lottery for 100k as the prize (yes i have enough to cover it, but that's not the point). only two people bought a ticket and one is bumping his a** off because he wants the 25k bumping prize. if this continues where no one buys any tickets am i required to randomly pick one of the 5 tickets sold to win the 100k? that's a HUGE loss on my part with the 25k bumping prize and the other 2 bumping prizes, i don't have enough to cover them because i was hoping ticket sales would! someone, please offer advice?

No you're not required to. But you can't quit the lotto either unless you want to refund there tickets and give the bump prize.

Don't worry tickets sell slllllooowlly. I have my own lotto which still only has two people who entered. xd Give it time and your lotto will be sucessful. 3nodding

Guys another thing.... its very simple but a lot of people make this mistake.... CHECK and DOUBE check your math....

Especially if you have more then one prize...

...o.o? xd I guess you should change that to "because there still is the possibility that it isn't one."

The only other suggestion I'd have would be to use some commas. xd ; Sometimes sentences feel dragged-out without commas. I can't really correct yours here since it applies the entire post in general, but mostly it is needed when you used words like "however," "well," "though," etc. Like:

Add a comma after the "well." It flows better as "Well, it's actually quite tricky." 3nodding

I would like to thank you for this informative guide...yes...much of it is common sense...(that usually has to be repeated for many people) but some of it is subtle nuance that should be paid attention to...like the profits...i'll admit...i'm just starting up a lotto...and i had like a 50% profit...but...now i realize that that was really high...and to offset that high of a profit, I added a second place prize...so...anyway...thankies again...

Ladies and Gentlemen of Gaia.... If you are new and have fewer then 2000 posts... Do not start lotto's above 1 million gold.. This is due to several reasons.

A. most you dont realize how long it actually takes for one to finish
B. Just because your lotto is 150 million gold and your profit is 25 million because you want a halo... Your lotto will not finish in time for the halo to worth 25 million gold.
C. You do not have the "trust" factor yet due to the fact your new.
D. Gain a little experience first so you can return customers and advertisers/bumpers
E. if you are gonna run a huge lotto... get some decent clothes, nobody wants to see a 500k lotto and the creator wearing peasent clothes. This usually means they dont even have a trading pass.


In the long run start small... and work your way up.
