It appears that a killer is on the loose... people have been mysteriously dying! The killer must be among us and if not stopped soon then it could mean the end of us all. The killing started after the Death Note mysteriously disappeared from the Evolving Item museum... So there is reason to believe that the killer is using the Death Note to eliminate his victims.

As owner of the Investing Elite I am offering a 3 Million Gold reward to everyone who can eliminate this killer! Unfortunately, if the killer cannot be stopped then he will surely kill me and take the gold for himself!

Each round every player must cast a vote against another player, this will continue until all killers are dead...and each round the killer will choose one to die... Will you find the killer and save your life?

Roles & Winning Conditions

Each person will randomly be assigned a role:


As a GCDer you are a normal citizen of Gaia and ultimately you want to convince others of this so they don't send you to jail. Now every round GCDers must vote on the person who they think is the sniper and whichever player gets the most votes gets sent to jail and is OUT of the game. Notices will be posted in the thread topic telling you when you need to vote.


The Killer(s) get to PM me every round and tell me who they want to kill with their death note, and that person is eliminated from the game! The killer wants to appear innocent though, so he has to try and act like a normal citizen so that people don't suspect he's the sniper. If the killer is revealed and the GCDers vote him out then he gets sent to jail and the remaining GCDers win and split the prize money!


The detective(s) may choose to remain anonymous or expose themselves to the public. They are on the side of the GCD and are trying to identify the sniper. Each round they receive one clue about the sniper and can choose to keep it to themselves or to share it with everyone else. Be careful, if you reveal yourself as the Detective then the sniper may come after you!


This person chooses to put a veil of protection (EXCEPT ON THEMSELVES) at the beginning of each round. The veil of protection prevents them from being killed ONLY for that round. They can still be voted to jail, though. The angel may choose to resurrect a killed/jailed player by sacrificing his/her powers!


Everyone will be soulbound to one other player. There are special rules with this and they are as follows:
-If you or your lover is -killed- then BOTH of you die and are removed from the game (if the Angel brings one of you back ONLY the person the Angel revived will return to the game and they will no longer have a lover).
-If your lover is sent to jail, then ONLY your lover goes to jail (not you).
-If your lover is a sniper then it IS possible to win with both of you alive (the Sniper does not have to kill you or jail you to win).


***Winning Conditions***
1) Both Killers are voted out and sent to jail: All remaining GCDers split the prize money.
2) The death-note users kill everyone: The last killer keeps all of the money!

Dead People Don't Talk: I try and stay as true to the concept of "Death Note: The Game" as possible. In real life, if you're dead you cannot confess anything, state hidden clues, or verify any information. This will apply in this game as of now and in future games.

Does this mean you can't talk if you died? No, you are welcome to stay and observe-- you are also allowed to logically discuss PUBLIC evidence, but you're not allowed to use inside information that you had while you were participating. This means no posting your role, no posting anon messages (new or old), no posting anything you KNEW as a player because now you are merely an outside observer-- if you need more clarification on this I'll be glad to oblige.

Why? This interferes with the natural mechanics of the game-- people can post clues publicly without fear of repercussions and it essentially comes down to 'trolling' in a thread and giving an advantage to one side over another.
