Before You Bet:
- Follow the Gaia T.O.S.
- Your profile, post count & join date must be made public, whilst betting here.
- Your account MUST be at least 4 months old.
- You MUST have a minimum of 600 total posts to gamble here; this is not negotiable! No Exceptions! (Unless you are on the exceptions list.)
Exceptions: You must be a regular, who has lost or switched their main account. Subject to these rules are at the discretion of the admins. Please fill in a form located in the important list section.
Chillin’ in the Thread:
- Do not generate a number unless you are in a bet. It's confusing. Additionally, you may not use other threads to roll random numbers before entering a bet here at BMC. This is a form of cheating. People who are caught will be put on the probation list for up to a month - and if it continues will be blacklisted. We will be checking so don't think you can get away with it!
- Post formats - Please keep your post format (art etc) to an acceptable size - if a Mod deems your post format too big, you will be asked to downsize it or remove it from your posts.
- Tree Quoting (i.e. constantly quoting someone to the point that it gets so long it takes up half the page) MUST be kept to a minimum! Try to keep it under 4-5 posts in the quote box.
-The 'Peanut Gallery' Rule - Also known as the 'stfu' rule. Meaning, if a mod of any kind is clearly in the thread, do not butt into situations. It is our job to handle things like this. You will be warned the first time, and probation will follow. Eventually leading to black listing. So, if a mod tells you to butt out, do it.
-Addition to the Peanut Gallery Rule; If you notice that a mod of any sort is absent from the thread, you may take it upon yourself to remind others of the rules if such rules are being broken. Warn, and if they repeat, report them.
Gambling Time:
- Scamming will get you reported and added to the blacklist.
- Do not bet an item or amount of gold you are not willing to possibly part with.
- Do not get involved in more than 1 bet at a time, this gets confusing and starts arguments - This includes group bets.
- Use your best judgment of time when making your bets. If you don't think you have the time to complete the bet and the trade, don't bet at all.
- Please remember to CONFIRM ALL BETS before rolling. This includes Double or Nothing bets! Confirmation means - Your opponent must reply & agree to all your terms before rolling commences.
- Re-rolling after an honest mistake (wrong post action, incorrect range, posting incorrect roll number [i.e. saying one of two when it’s a three roll bet, etc]) is not "cheating".
Exception: Repeat offenders will be monitored and if we decide that you have been using the wrong post action on purpose, you will suffer the consequences.
- If you TIE with your opponent - you may NOT back out of the bet, unless you both agree that you want to end the bet. You must complete the same process, by rolling the same amount of rolls that you agreed to in the original bet or you may make a new agreement. Backing out of a TIE without confirming will land you on the probation list.
- We advise that you use a middleman for large bets - Generally anything over 500k. You may use any of the moderators or any member listed on our trustworthy middlemen list.
- If you enter/agree on a bet & your opponent does not roll/logs off - you have the right to void that bet after 10 minutes. If you suspect that your opponent logged out because you rolled a high number, please contact a moderator immediately.
- When using "new/un-common" abbreviations. You must elaborate - Spelling out the full meaning of the abbreviation in your posts/signatures/post formats etc. There is a list below of accepted abbreviations.
- Bets made over Instant Messaging - If you are offered a bet via MSN/AIM/YAHOO/YIM and the likes & accept this bet. You are to confirm the conditions of the bet in the thread, post who is involved in the bet, and terms. If you do not post the conditions of the bet a moderator is permitted to void your bet & put you on probation.
- You may not bet on your soul, virginity, a** etc or anything of that manner. It must be a legitimate bet - Anything of GAIA ONLINE value only. Example;; Pixelated items & Gold etc.
You Lose.
- If you lose a bet, you have a maximum of 30 minutes to send and complete the trade, unless otherwise worked out with the opposing player. We understand that there are some circumstances that cannot be helped - So make sure you contact a staff member immediately if you have been put on probation for this reason.
- Do NOT send lost items through the gifting system - When sending an item after a loss, please only send the item through trade. DO NOT send it through gifting. If you agree to your opponent sending an item through gifting and an item is not received, the BMC will not be held responsible because we warned you. Just use trades.
- Any member who does not check post counts/blacklist for a unknown member and get's scammed; May be placed on probation for stupidity! The rules are there to protect you, need we remind you!
Sportsmanship:
- Do not pressure a person into betting. If they do not want to use your betting terms, play without a middleman, do Double or Nothing, or bet a particular item, they do not have to. This includes making people re-roll a whole bet because you got crap numbers.
- Don't rush others while in a bet. It's understandable if you give a reminder after say...5-10 minutes of bet inactivity, or if they are posting without rolling, but do not rush someone for the sake of rushing.
- You may not get angry at another member because you lost a bet. Imposing guilt or actively attempting to discourage an opponent is harassment. This includes any member who gets involved in the argument. Depending on the severity of the matter, you can be put on the probation list from anything from 2 days to 1 month - This will be up to the moderator who is handling the situation. If you are placed on the probation list more then 3 times - you will be permanently put on the Blacklist! Emotionally breaking someone down with your bad comments and outbursts is not excusable.
Giftbacks:
- Giftbacks are not Mandatory!
- Our suggestions are that you give a 10% giftback on bets over 100k, though this is not required, but the gesture is nice!
- You are not allowed to force/bully a member into giving you a giftback.
- You are not to put in your signature, post formats, posts etc - what you require as a giftback or that you don't bet people who don't giftback or anything else along those lines.
- You are not to make a member feel inferior when you do not receive a giftback or receive one that isn't up to your requirements.
- Members will be probated for any drama that arises from giftbacks.
Spam/Begging:
- Do not stretch/spam this forum with your meaningless crap - It's annoying! That means - Large inventory posts, art & things that may stretch the page or cause confusion.
- You may not badger other members in this forum for items or gold (i.e. begging!). This is not a ******** charity! Those caught begging in this guild will be warned once and then placed on probation if they do it again.
- Do not advertise your quests/charities/other casinos etc in this thread. By the form of "automatic posts" and posting thread links etc. Signature advertisement is fine.
Drama:
- Drama will not be tolerated in this thread. If you start drama or are involved with it, you will be warned once. If you continue, you will be put on probation list anywhere from one day to one month. Repeat offenses will land you on the black list - Moderators have the right to interfere where they see fit.
Mules:
- Absolutely no betting/talking with mules in the casino. You are allowed to trade from your mules, but all betting must be done through your main.
- If you are Temp banned or permanently banned from Gaia Online, you may be permitted to bet with a mule but this is at the discretion of the administrators.
Probation List
- If you land yourself on the probation list - You must adhere to the rules/restrictions. If you break these, you may be blacklisted immediately.
- All those who are placed on probation will also be ignore listed for the duration of your probation, no exceptions.
- If you log out of a bet and do not pay your opponent within 30 mins tops, you will be placed on probation for 24 hours. Once that time lapses and you still haven't payed up, you will be Blacklisted. If you do end up paying within 24 hours, you will still get a maximum of 7 days probation as punishment - the time period is up to the moderator who is dealing with your case.
Black Lists:
- If you land yourself on the black list, you CANNOT get removed (unless you have a really good reason) and you cannot play any of the games that will go on in this thread including contests.
- Members are NOT allowed to have personal blacklists displayed, in their post formats, posts, signatures etc. This is a form of trolling and will not be tolerated.
Staff:
- When expressing concerns, please try to PM a mod who is active/online first.
- The thread Admins & Mods words are law; respect them or GTFO!
- No Disrespecting Mods! We will no longer tolerate members undermining moderators and telling them how to do their job. Anyone who abuses a mod by cussing, causing drama etc or even making their job more difficult will be warned. If you continue to display total disrespect for the authority in this thread, you will be placed on probation and the ignore list (depending on its severity it can be up to 3 months). Repeat offenses will see you blacklisted from BMC. The mods are here to help answer your questions, diffuse drama & keep the thread safe; do not think you’re better than them.
- WE the moderators of BMC, have the right to put you on probation if we suspect that you are a potential scammer, while we investigate. During this time, you are not allowed to bet. You will be informed by a moderator once our investigations are complete. This can take up to 72 Hours.
- Do not try to impersonate a moderator, by trying to diffuse drama etc yourself. This just causes much more problems then is necessary. Please PM a mod who is online immediately, do not take matters into your own hands.
- If you feel your case/incident wasn't dealt with correctly, or you feel harassed/belittled etc in any way by a moderator, please contact Miss Kiiro or DJ Fantastic, with the details. Include page links to conversations and any details relating to the incident.
Anything else I should know?:
- Do NOT...and we repeat, do not delete posts - EVER. If you want to change what you say, EDIT it and if you used the wrong post action, wait until your next post to fix it. Post deletion is a one way ticket to the black list. No exceptions.
- A double or nothing bet is just a separate bet where the winner basically puts up the item (s)he just won, and the loser of the original bet puts an item of equal value. Better yet, a double or nothing bet is like a separate bet that gives the loser an opportunity to win their item back.
Should someone accept a DoN bet, the transfer of the original losses is normally postponed pending the results of the second bet.
Let's take an example:
Jbo just lost an Ancient Katana to Roachy, Jbo says "DoN" offering up another Ancient Katana. Roachy accepts and allows Jbo to postpone sending over his Ancient Katana. Now, should Roachy win the DoN bet, she will then get two Ancient Katanas from Jbo (sent over in 1 trade to save time and energy), which is DOUBLE what she would have won had Jbo not offered the second Katana up. However, if she loses, she will just lose the Katana she won off Jbo and both players walk away with NOTHING but what they started with.

LNW= Lowest Number Wins
HNW= Highest Number Wins
LNCW= Lowest Number Combined Wins
HNCW= Highest Number Combine Wins
LINW= Lowest Individual Number Wins
HINW= Highest Indivudual Number Wins
HMNW= Highest Middle Number Wins
LMNW= Lowest Middle Number Wins
HCMNW= Highest Combined Middle Number Wins
LCMNW= Lowest Combined Middle Number Wins
HIMNW= Highest Individual Middle Number Wins
LIMNW= Lowest Individual Middle Number Wins
ORK/ORK'ed= One roll kill/one roll killed. Ex: You and your opponent are betting,terms are 1-100 3 rolls,you are a 97,your opponent rolls a 37,42,13.
You ORK'ed him in the first roll.You may use this term after beating your opponent in only 1 roll,just don't go too far with it.
ART BETS
1. Must be on the Artists Exception List, in order to bet with art.
2. If betting art, up to 3-5 art bets ( depending on style ) at one time until completion.
3. W.I.P.S. ( or Work In Progress ) must be shown if a few days are passing before the art is completed and handed out to the winner of the bet.
4. You must communicate with the person who won your art, do not ignore PM's from them if they are asking for progress!
5. When betting art - members must be made aware of the time frame that you will complete their work in & accept it. Any bets without this info can be void by a moderator.
This will become a binding contract, work must be completed within the time frame specified.
6. Any member who bets with a person who is not on the artists exception list - Does this at their own risk. And will subsequently forfeit the right for BMC to be involved in the matter if it turns bad.
