Ya it wasn't the best. But I read up on it and it terns out they didn't die in the original plane crash like I thought. Those pictures at the end that suggested that they died in the crash were added by ABC, not the writers, to add a visual aid to the whole thing. Meaning they just died throughout their time on the island.
That cleared things up for me and made it a bit better.
