Ben never met Rousseau (Alex's real mother) before he stole Alex as a baby (as far as we know). I mean, she came to the Island pregnant and I'm pretty sure it belonged to that dude who she was in love with.

ben would be boring if he were just a cookie-cutter "bad guy" (although his bad self is still pretty entertaining User Image

) but being able to sympathize with him and see him as human, despite everything he's done, is really interesting, don't you think?

I had always liked him and totally believed the lie about him being Henery Gale and was so against Sayid torturing him, but I still liked him lol the line he said made me feel bad for him because he actually had feelings for Alex! Although his horrified look when they shot Alex pretty much said it also.. XD

Omg. Same here. I've always loved Ben Linus. He's so...eh...evil and out for himself, but you can't help but feel sorry for him.
Plus, his character is probably the strongest in the entire show. Ben Linus is definitely my favorite character in the show.
