I felt sorriest for Arwen. One hundred and twenty years of happiness before her love died, and then she would flee to her childhood home, finding it silent and empty, and die of grief, mourning the brevity of her bliss.

Yea, it's fortunate that she only lived on for a year after his death (Aragorn died in FO 120, Arwen in FO 121).

at first, i thought i felt mostly sorry for froto (elijah wood) because he got hes finger eaten off by this thing that think the ring is it precious.

There's quite a few more reasons than that to feel sorry for Frodo. He was forced to leave his life and home to take on a burden that was never really his to bear, or anyones for that matter. He may have been praised in the end for being in the fellowship and playing a part in saving middle earth. But aside from Smeagol, he was messed up by the ring the most. One can only imagine the psychological issues he had to deal with for the rest of his life.
