HI I've never read The Lord of the Rings books. Are they as good as the movie, or the same question

The books are a million times better because they are from Tolkien himself.
The movies are good but... can't beat the books. |

The books are far better than the movies, so I'd say try them. 3nodding If you aren't sure you'll like them, borrow them from the library- that way if you don't like them or have trouble following it, you can always return them. And hey, if you do love them, you can always buy them. smile I definitely recommend reading them, though!

If you loved the movies, you'd more likely than not love the books. So get them smile .

The LOTR books are really good, if you like epic tales and a little poetry. I do think they are worth your while.

Start with 'The Hobbit". It's a great introduction to that world and a good read. If you like that then try the first book in the trilogy which is a little more complex. As you read each one you'll find that they are written to add more complexity in each volume. Try it biggrin

Depends on the amount of time you want to spend on Lord of The Rings...and how long it takes you to read the book. But personally I like the books better.
