Pig farmers did not like the association since you cannot get the flu from eating pork. They complained and the name was changed.

That makes sense then. Although you only have to go online and look it up to find out you can't get it from meat products.... I think it's kind of odd that when I first heard of it, it was this huge horrible thing and you're totally going to die if you get it! But now it's basically just the flu. You just have to make sure that it doesn't become pneumonia.

I don't think I know anyone in real life who's actually HAD swine flu.

A friends daughter had it, the whole house was on quarantine for 10 days. Luckily she's fine now and I don't think she gave it to anyone.

I know somoene who said she thought she had swine flu, but pretty sure she did not. Because I visited her and didn't catch anything, and she wasn't obeying her quarantine anyway, and no-one else caught it either.
