One of these days I'll finish reading the Canterbury Tales- I haven't tried it in Middle English yet, though. Now that I think about it, I haven't read much of The Faerie Queene, either. This is just sad since I focused on British literature with my English degree, and I want to go to grad school to become a professor of early British literature. I should have read all these things multiple times by now.
xd
LOL yaaa you probably should have.. luckily we just had to read general prologue, wife of bathe, nun's priest's tale... nun's priests take is funny!! i'm only second year so i dont necessarily grasp everything right away but our prof she is awesome! lol she emphasizes all the cynicism and sexual references in the texts XD
faerie queene we are only reading the first booke and i love the wording in canto 4 house of pride when spenser is describing the 7 deadly sinces including lucifera (okay i should stop ranting now)
it's got to soudn really nerdy that i get really excited and enthusiastic over english >< but peopel dont realize the concepts behind the stuff that make it so awesome! ><
