 Now, I have been getting quite annoyed at the amount of misspellings of characters' names, and of place names, in this forum. I know, I know, people say that they have just seen the movies, so they've never learned how to spell the names. Even people who have read the book, you can't be expected to remember everything. Okay, I see where you're coming from. Therefore, I decided to make this post, containing the proper spellings of some of the more common characters names, as well as place names and other spellings. If there are any I have missed, that you commonly see misspelled, please feel free to post them on this thread, and I will add them to the list. Oh, and another thread you should check before posting in here is Vendie's Guide to Posting in the LOTR Forum, it's a very helpful thread as well. For characters with multiple names (example, Aragorn) I have put up just their more common names, as the list was getting way too long. The other names are listed beside the first. If the accents don't show up, try refreshing the page a few times and it should eventually work.
