Just Got a Lolita Dress

Thick-ish tights, (probably white) bloomers, (preferably flannel) and an under armour shirt. Gotta have under armour shirts to do Lolita in the winter, at least where I live.

Armour shirt??? Thank you Its gets cold here in the Winter. If you don't mind me asking where are you from?

Under armour is a brand that makes clothes that go under your clothes and help keep you warm. They're very thin, but they work.

What does the dress look like and why is everyone immediately suggesting white when black/white is usually preferred not to be worn unless you're very good at comboing?

They have a bad reputation for stealing stock photos from other shops and then passing off shoddy (poor quality, bad materials, stained, or unfinished) items and not accepting returns. They actually were featured on one of the morning talk shows in the US for their wedding gown knock offs to show how bad of a deal it was, and the were recently taken to court by David's bridal for copyright infringement, among other things. sweatdrop

You certainly lucked out. They have a reputation for sending out horrible items- or simply not sending items at all. I agree with Jessie-Kate, you really shouldn't order from them again >w< Bodyline, Anna House, and Fan + Friend offer similar prices and similar styles, but are much more reputable than Milanoo ^^

Anyways, to answer your question. Since that dress is so fancy, I feel it needs another "fancy" piece to layer underneath it. I'd wear it with a high-collared white blouse with a bow tie and some white tights if it was cool. I might layer a long-sleeved shirt under the blouse or double up on tights and socks if it was particularly chilly. A white capelet and a black fur-trimmed hat with a white bow would be the "finishing touches" on a chilly-day outfit for that dress, for me.

If you post pictures, I might be able to help you find the dress in the picture elsewhere, if you want? Since they swipe (or at least used to always swipe) a lot of their photos, often the same things can be gotten from taobao shops and such. 3nodding
