A friend of mine is learning how to pole dance, she always gets bruises on her thighs, but it looks like a lot of fun anyways.

We call those pole bites. Very common when you first start dancing.
Her skin will get use to it and they will stop.

I dance 3 to 4 nights a week.

They look super painful though, to do flips and such. D; Does it hurt?

How come? What's the temperature like there now?
You could still do it, perhaps in an airconditioned room... I live in a tropical country, so it's always humid here, but I always see lolitas at conventions even outdoors. So I guess it's possible unless you're thinking about furry coats and all.
