Welcome to Gaia! ::

My school is K-12 and 800 kids.
So, that goes to show just how much class selection we have.
We can't take Spanish (the only language offered) until our 10th grade year.
And we only have 1-2 choices for our Math, SS, English, etc.
Theres a Mexican girl in my class who has 27 credits because her home school requires more classes to graduate
Just to further discussion this what I had for both Freshman and this year. I'm curious as how it stacks up to all of you.

We're a class C school. I'm not sure how big/small of a C we are though.

We have a Lutheran school here that's K-8 and has MAYBE 50 kids. xP
Well I live in the Netherlands so our school systems are different ..

But we started learning English (mandatory in every middle school) in 7th grade. Then in highschool, you have to learn German, depending on what your main subject is, you maybe even have to learn French and Spanish.

We learn algebra first year in highschool (that would be 9th grade for you).

Ok actually in my first year of highschool I had like 14 different classes, which would be:

Geography
History
Dutch
German
English
P.E.
Biology
Math/Algebra
Society (learning about different cultures and stuff)
Study hour (where you'd have to make your homework for any class)
Electrics (making stuff that requires technique)
Arts (aka, making stuff with your hands like a paper house, or just drawing)
Computers
Music

I can't believe I had that many classes in my first year O_O

My elementary school didn't have any language programs, although they're offering language programs as afterschool classes now.
In Junior High, we had language problems, but when I got into 8th grade, they ousted the 9th graders out and added them to the high school, so the language programs (French and Spanish) went with them.
My high school offers, 3 years of Japanese, 4 years of French, and 4 years of Spanish.
Some of the schools in the area also offer Chinese, which is interesting.

The high school I go to is 9-12 and we have upward of 2,300 students.

Art I-IV at my school requires actual art skills. So, I wasn't able to take it. You have to like give a sample portfolio. Also, activities like year book are all after school. =[

I'm also a little upset about next year about some other cllasses being taken away. I really wanted to take e-Business. XD They're giving us like Accounting, Technology Applications II, Finances, and one other class, though. I think Accounting would be cool. I honestly have no idea what an accountant does, though. I know it does have to do with managing income and things like that...I think. XD

I wish my school had Japanese. We ,as of next year, only have a choice of Spanish I-IV or for Freshmen, Latin.
I've had to learn other languages than my native since my 4th year in school.
First one was English, then German and French, then Spanish and Latin and so on and on.

I don't live in america, the school system in my country is different so I can't really.. understand most of what people are saying in this thread really.
-shrugs-
I've always had good education ever since I started school, that I know ^^
