What's the worst thing that ever happened to you?

The worst thing that happened to me was that a while back, my girlfriend killed herself. I did something stupid out of greif and got myself inpatient. She was the one girl I've really felt the most connected to. Maybe because even then we both struggled with depression. But I started taking prozac so things are better. I'm slowly moving on.

The worst thing that's ever happened to me, strangely enough, wasn't actually a sad thing. It was just extremely embarrassing. When I was seven, I wanted to see what naked people looked like, so I typed in stuff like naked.com and a bunch of porn sites popped up. I had no idea what they were doing in those videos. lol

But one day my mom caught me watching them after a virus somehow managed to get into the computer from the various porn sites that I'd visited. Part of me understood that what I was doing was wrong, so that's why I felt super guilty about it, but at the same time, I didn't know exactly what I was seeing, lol

Happened to me too. I got grounded from the computer for a year. emotion_donotwant (Didn't learn much from that either, other than how to clear the history)

Anyway, the worst thing that happened to me was probably moving to the Philippines. Not even my mother dying, because it happens to everyone and it would have happened no matter what country we were in. But of all places, the ********' Philippines. I've been here for five years now and I still look to the day that I'll have money and gtfo.

Last holiday season I had 5 people close to me die between Christmas and February. This year has been incredibly stressful and at this moment I am faced with a decision. I was accepted into the nursing program. Woo hoo. If I say no, I risk never getting into this program again. If I say yes, I wont be able to work full time which means I wont be able support myself. This to me, is a struggling, terrifying decision.

Yea I feel like all of the worst things in my life are things you can control or that aren't inevitable, like doing stuff I can't change or saying certain things that have made an impact on my relations with people. x_x

On a more serious note, the two worth things probably are the fact that I was sexually abused for years when I was a little kid and also my step dad has serious rage issues so I grew up watching him have serious outbursts at my mom and stuff and have lived in fear over the years and he still occasionally has them, it's been like a month or two where he hasn't had any huge outbursts so currently I'm on the edge worried he'll snap at any moment. The sound of him screaming about anything just freaks me out, I go into full-fledged flight or fight mode and I've basically given up on intervening so I always end up running away and feeling like a loser/coward afterwards but as long as I can get out of ear-sight then I feel better and usually leave for like... hours when that happens, or until my mom calls and says it's over. We think he's an undiagnosed psychopath. Sigh.

When I was in special ed for years and I had no friends because I had shitty social skills so I was practically alone. So of my school years, it was most of my school life.
When my grandpa died.
When I got friend zoned by a really close friend of mine and I was used for so many years for his pleasure. Not mine. I was blinded by the fact that I had a huge crush on him and he pushed a lot of girls away in hopes to be with his trashy ex. And she broke up with him when they dated. And she still doesn't like him. He did this a day before my birthday. I was depressed for a week and I went home crying everyday because of that. I pretty much got over it now.
