Nothing I want to do is terribly profitable. gonk Thankfully, I prefer living modestly because I don't like tripping over stuff all the time, but I'm too lazy to properly store it. Snrk. Anyway, it's sort of a toss-up between being a district attorney (or some other public advocacy work) or going off to molder in a university somewhere, studying the Middle Ages.

My dream job: being a makeup artist for movies.

I start at film school this Monday, and my department head is pretty much known by everyone who knows anything about makeup art/effects in the film industry so hopefully I will be taught well and be successful.

Dig my ditches in the golden sun,

I'm currently in Grad school studying to become a therapist. I plan to go on to get a Phd in Counseling or Clinical Psych, and my absolute dream job would be to profile serial killers or become a behavior analyst for the FBI.

I plan to go into private practice and hope to work that profiling job in on the side. cool

You know, watching The Thirsty Traveler on Food Network, I always thought that Kevin Brauch had the world's best job. He got paid to not only have his own TV show, but to have his own TV show whose whole premise was to chart his course across the world, getting drunk the entire way. Seriously, in each episode he'd travel to some new place and his job, as far as I could tell, was drinking all the different types of alcohol native to the area and finding out a bit of the history involved. Is that not the best job ever, or what?

Other than that, it would be cool to be a professional writer, but I could never do it; the deadlines would kill me. The previously mentioned 'photographer' would be pretty awesome too. A serious career I might want to get into is being, like, a research assistant at a university or something. My job would be to look things up using every available resource. Hell, I already do that for free, so why not get paid for it?

Something that has to do with helping people and psychology. Naturally I'm inclined towards therapy, but I'm sure those aren't the only options.

Acting.

But I don't want it enough to go through all the hells it would take to get me there.

And I feel like that might waste my other talents and passions.

So.

Politician/President.
Minister.

Yes, I've been out for the last two-three weeks. Apologies.

It may be different where you live, but TAs and other assistants get paid at my university. I saw a publicly-posted job opening for a lab tech TA job just the other day. Paid pretty good money, too; I would have applied if it was in my field.

I go to a top 20 public research Grad school. My specific program is ranked 6th for scholarly literature publication in the nation. All our research assistants are TAs or Graduate Assistants. This means little pay and either reduced or free tuition, but very few, if any, hired in long term, or at all, from the outside.

You could be a fact checker for a magazine or newspaper. Cool job, similar premise. surprised

Cause if it's coming for you
Then it's coming for me
Cause I will be there
Cause we need each other in the dark
And if it terrifies you
Then it terrifies me
Cause I will be there
So we've got each other in the dark

I want to program for Nintendo. But that's nearly impossible to achieve, especially for Americans. gonk

Thank you Mak Mak!
Ooh...some sort of artist, or a social worker, or a teacher.

I like helping others, but I'm also creative. Even though I want to be an artist and I want to be a teacher, I don't necessarily want to be an art teacher. Hahah.

I wish I wanted jobs where you got to travel, but alas...! D:

Hm, but acting sounds fun too. Doubtful. But fun.
