I wouldn't go as far as to say that. You can strengthen talents by training them. Just like if you have a natural drawing talent you can strengthen it by taking art lessons.

But some talents - like what Garrett and Silvas are talking about with the telepathy - aren't really something I think you could ever develop if you didn't have it a bit to begin with. o.O At least, I can't think of a way to develop something like that.

By the way, you guys, I don't envy you. D; I would hate to be able to read into what other people were thinking using by using anything other than body language. Seems too invasive.

It's completely unintentional. I don't realise I'm doing it until someone mentions something. I used to tick a lot of people off and I had no idea. They thought I was doing it on purpose. It's not something I can control willingly.

No, it's more of channeling my energy and energies around me and using my hands to guide it to where it needs to be. If you look up Reiki, that's pretty much what I'm talking about.

And I dunno, just can't. Doesn't bother me at all, I'm used to it and I take things how they come 3nodding

I know this is a wiccan-lifestyle forum, but I was wondering if any of the girls here could tell me what they would do if they found out that their partner was cheating on them. Becuase, my friend found that out and she totally hacked his myspace, emailed all the girls and s**t.. and now she feels terrible for doing it. Hence the discussion. ^_^ When I was starting out I learned a whole lot of crap that I had to learn over again when I discovered that the books I had been reading and the person I was learning from were totally full of it. I was really put out for a while and I still am, kinda.

With different people saying different things, others like myruna-chan, who know very little about it, are going to get totally confused. In the interests of minimising confusion, when there are two people saying completely opposing things, you have to bring a little something to the table to back up your opinion.

But really sweatdrop I was surprised to see that kind of thing. I was under the impression that no one really believed Wicca was that old anymore, save Silver Ravenwolf wink

lol. yeah, it's so hard to get through what's truth and what isn't. Belief is a terrible thing to discuss sometimes becuase everybody has a different opinion and they strongly believe in it. It's so like christianity and asking different types of christians to interpret the bible. -_- anyways.... how is everyone?

We were having the "how old is Wicca?" discussion wink But now it's kinda over. Which really is a good thing as it's not a particularly interesting discussion and I tend to get somewhat frustrated.

"Powers" isn't a word I personally would use. "Talent" is a better word, because you can be good at something naturally, but you can also work at it independently of it. People can have talents for all sorts of things. Some people have a talent for kitchen witchery - that is, spells involving cookery and so on. Some people have a talent for drumming. Some have a talent for catching premonitions. But you still need to work on them, or the talent is of little use.

I wouldn't say I get premonitions or that im telepathic. I'm just very Empathic, I'm good and picking up on others feelings. I doubt myself to much with it but I always turn out right. Its a little strange at times and sad too. There are things I feel before they happen. Unfortunately my grandmother passed a few days ago and at the time of her death I woke up and just couldn't sleep. I was too upset at the time to be freaked out. There are also certain ppl that im close with that I often can call on with out literally speaking with them. Only a few. My mother my best friend and my Bf. I've done a bunch of times when I really needed them.
