I am Wiccan

cool!! can you tell us more about you then? 3nodding
we really want to know (well i want to sweatdrop ) true information 3nodding

Alright, I'm pretty normal except for my magik. I call it magik because I feel the word Magic has been corrupted. I call myself wiccan because it is easier than going into the Neo-pagan or neo-wiccan. The majority of people I tell understand what I mean. I am a witch. I'm more of a green witch however. I deal with herbs and plants. Communicating with animals and trees (Something we can all do) I'm still fairly young so I'm still learning some of the old ways that have been forgotten. Once a year I go to a pagan festival called Greenlady festival. I learn most of my self there. I do not believe in the devil. The devil was created by the Christians and/or Catholics. They used our "god of the hunt" as the devil because he is part man part goat.

ummmm sweatdrop

wicca has nothing to do with satanism

wicca is a way of life

wicca is not evil. those who are wiccan follow the law of three and that is what ever you do comes back at your three fold as well as well as "do what you will as long as it harms none"

wicca is a real religion and they do exist. and those who take up the title of witch through wicca cannot do you any harm. however some one who does you harm and claims they are a wiccan are not a wiccan they are actually satanists and not all satanists are mean people

they are not folklore

so is not a rumor or a myth, do you know more? 3nodding

of course I do xd

Wicca is an Earth religion -- an accepting, open-minded faith that celebrates diversity and considers us all to be children of the same mother. Gender, age, race, sexual orientation, physical status, family background or ethnic heritage are not important in Wicca. We are male and female, old and young, gay and straight, healthy and disabled, and of all colors

so they are conected to nature? or fertility? confusing! i want to know more whee
Witchcraft is a religion of ecology; it's goal is harmony with nature so that life may not just survive, but thrive. Love for life in all its forms is the basic ethics of Witchcraft.
You would be surprised to how many wiccans and Pagans there are. I find that 2000 is when most have been coming out of their shells. Some places pagan and/or wiccans fear coming out because they get pointed at and judged. As for the fertility and nature aspect I find that they connect closely and that one isn't more important than the other.
Do you have specific questions you would like to ask?

oohhh, so why is considered evil then?
So the begining moons of the year....spring is all about fertility which deals with flowers growing and babies being born. Wiccan is both. We follow or are guided by the goddess who reprsents everything woman. Fertility, motherhood, etc. There is the Maiden, mother and crone. I find that represents it very well. You start off as the baby or maiden you become the mother and then with age the crone. The Crone then dies and is reborn as the Maiden. It is like Spring goes to summer then fall comes and everything 'dies' and in the winter it is dead or sleeping and then in the spring it is reborn. Fertility is mainly l linked with Imbolc and Beltane (holidays) and then there is Samhain which is halloween which is the day of the dead, all souls night when the veils between our world and the spirit world are thinned. Do you see a pattern? Born-live-die-born-live-die.

that is because thats how people did not understand us have saw witches for a long time. however What Wicca is not is Satanism. We do not worship the Devil, kill small animals or sacrifice children. We are not evil, nor do we practice evil acts or black magick or manipulative or exploitative magick.

Hahah! Exactly! It isn't evil! Because back in the day we did not follow the church it was looked upon as evil. Then we would have festivals where we thank the Earth. Some choose to be nude in their celebrations. We looked at our god of the hunt. This seemed bad to the church so they labeled it as evil. IT is not evil at all! Witches are good!

It also follows with the cycle of the moon, which is why a lot of the time the Mother Goddess is represented as the moon. In the waxing part of the cycle, she is the maiden, in the full moon, the mother, in the waning, the crone. In the dark part of the moon she dies and is reborn. (Depending on the belief system. This version is from the palaeolithic times, in truth.)
Bide ye the Wiccan laws ye must, in perfect love and perfect trust.
Ye must live and let live, fairly take and fairly give.
Cast the Circle thrice about, to keep unwelcome spirits out.
To bind the spell well every time, let the spell be spoken in rhyme.
Soft of eye and light of touch, speak ye little and listen much.
Deosil go by waxing moon, chanting out the Wiccan runes.
Widdershins go by waning moon, chanting out the baneful tune.
When the Lady's moon is new, kiss the hand to Her times two.
When the moon rides at Her peak, then the herat's desire seek.
Heed the North wind's mighty gale, lock the door and trim the sail.
When the wind comes from the South, love will kiss thee on the mouth.
When the moor wind blows from the West, departed spirits have no rest.
When the wind blows from the East, expect the new and set the feast.
Nine woods in the cauldron go, burn them quick and burn them slow.
Elder be the Lady's tree, burn it not or cursed ye'll be.
When the wheel begins to turn, let the beltane fires burn.
When the wheel has turned to Yule, light the log and the Horned One rule.
Heed ye flower, bush and tree, by the Lady, Blessed Be.
Where the rippling waters go, cast a stone, the truth to know.
When ye have and hold a need, hearken not to other's greed.
With a fool no seasons spend, or be counted as his friend.
Merry meet and merry part, bright the cheeks and warm the heart.
Mind the Threefold Law ye must, three times bad and three times good.
When misfortune is now, wear the blue star on thy brow.
True in love ye must ever be, lest they love by false to thee.
These words the Wiccan Rede fulfill: An ye harm none, do as ye will.

I know this will sound botherful and kinda annoying, but do you know how this religion was.... how do I say it.... started? And do you believe in an afterlife?
