At twelve or thirteen, I suppose dating is okay.

Relationships are a bit of an overkill at that age. More serious stuff can start at sixteen or seventeen.
I started dating when I was eleven, but I was never in a relationship with those guys back then.
Hell, I'm not even serious about relationships right now.

I'd say 15. But things probably won't be serious till you 16 or 17 otherwise you can't do much.

For girls, I think 16 is the crucial age, because being the driver gives one a lot more control over what happens on the date, so it's a safety measure.

It was also the age of consent in the state where I grew up, which seems pretty fair. I really don't like the idea of people younger than that having to make serious decisions about what happens on the date.

as long as their mature about it. some people are mature at 14. some are still not when they're 30 --" but generally, i'd say 16. where i live, that's where kids can start driving. so if the state says their mature enough for that, i'll go by that

i started dating in 5th grade but i havent ever had a serious relationship until the one im in now. i think the best age would be 14 but i think its kind of good for little kids to go on dates because then its just a crush. its fun.

I started dating when I was 14. I think that's the usual age that most people start dating.
But dates are never really good until you hit about.....16, 17.

At the least 15 years old. Then you're starting to understand the feelings inside you and such... AND the consequences of what can happen on a date. But personally I would prefer people to be old enough to take care of themselves.

But then again... We don't have dating here in Sweden. Most of the time relationships just happen. Dates are rarely used.

let me elaborate.
dating normally always leads to sexual interaction; be it just making out and fondeling. the problem still remains that your not only not psychologicaly prepared for what all that means, but as everyone always says your body shouldn't be dealing with that stuff yet. it can, but it shouldn't be. this makes me a hypocryte to a large degree considering that i had sex from age 14 on, and was "dating" at 13.

was itjust cause i liked them but my uninformed head had no other way to handle it excepet date? yes.
like i said, dating leads to physical interaction and that can lead to sex, and thats not a good idea much younger then 16.

Real dating? Like going out at night to places that require money? Probably 15 and 16.

Of course, you could be someone's girlfriend or boyfriend before that, but I never really thought of it as "dating" until we actually went out to movies and things like that.

I really don't think you should date someone if you can't drive. If there's a third party involved, it's kinda lame, I think.
