edward makes so many stupid mistakes though... after being around for as long as he has... you'd think he wouldn't act like such an... ugh.. talk2hand

Edward may have been around for a while but he hasn't had any dealings in LOVE before. Bella is his FIRST heart so be nice. Is anyone perfect when they are in love. Nobody is perfect and if Edward WAS perfect, everyone would be picking on that fact instead.

Twilight is such a sucky series.

I can't get past the first chapter without wanting to claw my eyes out. Her writing borders on too descriptive and her characters are so two-dimensional. I don't see what all the hype is. It's probably because of all the SPARKLY VAMPIRES!!11ichi.

apparently its the most amazing series to ever be written, according to all my friends
who all seem to be girls. but whatever, i couldnt care less if a guys reading twilight
i know some smart guys who read girls magazines to find out what they think and what they like so they can please them more smile
and from what iv heard about edward cullen - apparently the most perfect romantic boyfriend ever
he knows how to sweep every girl in my grade off their feet, good on you for reading it wink

Bella is annoying and too "perfect"- she's smart and pretty and slender and an endearing klutz whom all the boys somehow like, and she's so...ARGH.

Edward is a jerk. I don't understand why all the girls like him- my ex was a lot more fun to be around. Edward is bossy and manipulative and ....

Personally, I didn't think the series was well written. There are tons of times where Edward will go on for like ten pages at a time doing nothing but providing background, and the spacing of the entire novel is spotty.

Sparkling vampires are ridiculous. And the vampire baseball thing is stupid too. What would happen if someone accidentally shoved Edward into Emmett or something? Would there be a loud bang? And how did they get birth certificates and social security numbers and such? O_o;;

If anyone else in this thread likes vampires, they should read Sunshine by Robin McKinley. It's a good, dark, much more realistic book with a main character I loved, and Con > Edward anyday.
