on pregnancy appetite: pregnancy drives your hormones insane-o... my appetite just dropped over the past week, although I'm gliding into the third trimester. I would kind of think, with twins, I'd be like ravenously starved (which I was recently like that, lol).

on breastfeeding: I am 100% pro-breastfeeding if you have the option (i.e. I understand some people can't handle it physically, emotionally, or financially, as in, they have to work and can't pump). I am both looking forward to and frightened out of my wits that I'll be breast feeding twins in three months or so. I'll be glued to the couch all damn day, and I feel so bad about it considering I have a 2 year old. But, people do it, so it must be doable, and breast is best, so we'll see how that all turns out.

hey prego house witch have you looked into if your area has a parents of multiples group? I am thinking other moms of twins can give you lots of ideas on how to breastfeed twins with a two year old in the house. smile I can say I kept special stories to read with my older child when I nursed baby. How ever I didn't have twins. smile so maybe special nursing toys? and books?

well, we don't have a local la leche league, at least not one that has been active in the last few years, but there may be one in birmingham. Online communities I think are going to HAVE to be where I draw my strength though, because I can't imagine spending an hour drive out just to hang out with other chick booby feeding babies that may or may not have ANY experience like with multiples. They do have special breastfeeding, like boppy kind of, pillows for twins, so you can feed them at the same time more easily. If that works out well, then all will BE well. I don't want to bottle supplement at all, even breast milk, given the option to not do so, but we'll see how the actual birth turns out to get that figured out.

I have got to lie Lilith down. She is refusing to nap. We just quit bottles, and daddy is home, and I am trying to get her to start sleeping WITHOUT having someone in the room napping with her, so... razz *stress!!*

So I have actually gotten some things clean today. Both bathrooms are clean, the kitchen is half way there, I vacuumed the Master bedroom as well as the dinning room and living room. I got to put away some dishes ans wash a couple more dishes...

My name is Lu, and I have a 3 1/2 year old son called Kai, I had him quite young, but these days 18 isnt really classed as young anymore. Hes such a monster, but I cant say he is a bad child as he is a dream most of the time.

His father isnt much but he is improving, unfortunately I split with his father at the end of summer this year, and i have had quite alot of trouble trying to get him to understand whats going on. Its been hard and still is, as the father is jealous of the new guy and trying to ruin it before its even started. Yet I digress. I hope I can get to become friends with some if not all of the great parents on here.

So I am really upset tonight. I was at a dance fund raiser for the dance troop my kids danced with. They aren't dancing since hubby lost his job I just don't have the $. Anyway it was a dinner and silent auction, and some friends paid our way. We enjoyed it. I offered to help and one of the other moms put me right to work. I was happy to help. this other mom came up and yanked the papers I was taking care of out of my hands and yelled at me and said"your not a dance mom anymore, you can't help" I feel bad enough my kids can't dance and I just wanted to help. I left crying. I was so hurt and so angry and she made a point to be loud about it. It wasn't like I was handeling money or could have taken or ruined anything.....I am hurt and angry.*tears*

I'm so sorry that some people find it necessary to be in everyone's business and nasty like that.
That's why I stopped going to church with Scott and his family.
His mother is really into the church functions and the religious school.
And we hadn't gone in months (because we both now work on sundays) and when we told her I was pregnant she was all like: No one really needs to know about any of this, so don't go around telling people you're pregnant. And I'm like WHAT?!? WHY!?!? and her response was: Ya know in case it doesn't make it. And besides pregnancy like this not something we should be telling the neighbors, I mean I still have to live here too.
And I'm thinking, WHAT THE HELL? It's nobody's business that Scott and I aren't married and having a kid. We should just be happy a new baby is coming into everyone's life. SO I'm supposed to keep my baby a secret so you can save face.

The point I was getting at is that, that woman had NO RIGHT to make you feel bad for something that wasn't in your control. You are making an effort to still be helpful to that community of people EVEN THOUGH your own kids can't participate in the troop.

Hey All! I went missing for a few days, just have gotten pretty busy, using my work computer is sooo slow! But here I am, toughing it out, seems like I am always working these days, blah.

MsRebecca2u, I am very very sorry you had to go threw that. It breaks my heart every day that I can't afford to put my very social 3 and a half year old into any programs. She is home most of the time, she doesn't even go to a babysitter anymore since my husband and I work opposite shifts.

That wasn't right for that woman to be like that, but to some women it is ALWAYS a competition of what THEY can afford and do, that you can't. It is very sad but just remember, KARMA comes back around! heart

you know what i hate?
how you get judged on what pram you have. i dont know if it happens over there, but over here, if you have a shitty pram, you get looked down on and other moms avoid you. if you have a fancy, top of the line $3000 pram, mothers flock to you to talk. Its stupid. i remember my first pram was a shitty hand me down, but it did the trick... but other moms would look at me like,"ugh, if she cant even afford a pram, how can she afford a child?" and so you know what i did? i got a pram that cost more than their ******** shoe collections. suck it xd
